The Plot
The show’s story revolves around Tousuke Rokudo, the troubles he faces, and how he recovers from them. Tousuke is a first-year student at Aomori High School. He and a couple of his friends are always in trouble with delinquent boys in his class. Getting tired of the behavior they are forced to face on a regular basis, they aim to lead more peaceful and enjoyable lives. It is a package from his late grandfather that changes everything.
A scroll of his grandfather transforms practically everything Tousuke is going through in the school. The scroll grants him the power to attract the delinquent girls of his school. Even with the troubles going on around him and his friends, Tousuke enjoys the liking of the strongest girl- Ranna Himawari. The way the story progresses, it is worth seeing how Tousuke navigates his way through the school’s troubles and the love life that revolves around him and the delinquent girls.
The Manga
The show is based on a manga series of the same name written by Yuuji Nakamura. The manga ran for almost five years. The romantic comedy started off with its serialization in the Weekly Shonen Champion magazine. Now that the manga is complete, there are 26 volumes of it. The first one was released in late 2016. The final volume was released in mid-2021. That put the seal on the manga but did not stop the series from going on to the next phase in its journey.
The Anime
The anime is the second phase in the series’ journey. The animated adaptation of Rokudo’s Bad Girls is a product of Satelight. The studio has established its reputation with shows like Fairy Tail and franchises like Aquarion under its belt. The show’s creation was declared in early 2023, and it premiered in April!
The direction of the show is under Keiya Saito, who has worked on projects related to Dangaronpa, Beyblade, and Baki. The show also has Yuuichiro Momose to take care of the scripts. The opening music was provided by EverdreaM, and the ending song was given by The Rampage from Exile Tribe. As mentioned earlier, there are only four episodes out as of now.
The show’s voice acting staff has Gen Sato. He is also voicing Maru in Heavenly Delusion at this point. Another voice actress to know about is Sumire Uesaka. She has voiced the extremely popular Hayase Nagatoro from Don’t Toy With Me, Nagatoro San.
