Are you excited about the upcoming Kusuriya No Hitorigoto Chapter 64? Mamao was a medicine maker who had a thirst for knowledge and a love of rare herbs. While going out to collect herbs one day, Mamao gets kidnapped by bandits and is forced to be sent to the imperial palace to work as a low-ranking maid.
Mamao worked within the Harem pavilion inside the Imperial palace, and her job as a hand-maiden was to take care of the various wives of the Emperor. Mamao kept a low profile so as to not stand out and kept working diligently on her duties. One day, Mamao encounters a commotion within the palace.
The commotion was caused by two of the Emperor’s favorite wives, and both their son and daughter were in danger of dying due to some unknown reason Mamao had a spark of justice within her and secretly helped the first wife by brewing an anti-dote for her son, thus saving him and winning the wife’s favor.
While Mamao did this secretly, the Head Eunuch of the palace was exceptionally smart, and it did not take much time for him to track down Mamao and question her to confirm that the person who made the anti-dode and discovered the poison within the face powder was Mamao. Mamao just went with the flow because eventually, she ended up becoming the 1st wife’s personal attendant and her food taster.
Mamao’s salary was more than doubled, and now with her new position as a food taster, Mamao is pitied by her co-workers, but only Mamao knows that she is a crazy herbalist and is very resistant to all kinds of poison. Her advanced knowledge of medicine quickly attracts the attention of higher-ups within the palace, and Mamao’s normal life takes a drastic turn.
