Black Clover will return for another season as Asta and Magical Knight’s journey continues. In the last episode, Liebe has been awakened and explains his hardships when he was in the Underworld. The high-ranked Devils tease Liebe that he is too weak to go to the Human World.
Liebe realizes that every Devil’s dream is to go to the Human World. But the gate that connects the Human World and the Underworld blocks the Devil’s path, which causes the high-ranked Devil to torture the weak ones. Liebe realizes that he doesn’t care about anything since he has no goal or dream in his life. He mocks the high-rank Devil abusing him, and it tosses him into the Human World. Liebe was surprised since he passed the gate without getting injured and appeared on the other side. He realizes that it is possible because he is an Anti-Magic Devil.
Liebe arrives in a nearby town where one of the citizens notices horns and starts to ask if Liebe is the Devil. The ladies wonders if Liebe has come to curse them, and one of them asks the others to call the Magic Knights to deal with Liebe. Liebe runs away and escapes from humans. He falls unconscious and wakes up later in the morning; he finds himself in a house with bandages around his body. Liebe heard the lady’s voice, who was glad he was alive. She reveals that she is Licita, and he must not worry since no one knows they are together.
Previously on Black Clover Episode 170
Licita explains her magic to Lieba and how her Mana works. She reveals the Five-Leaf-Clover Grimoire and shows it to Liebe. Liebe asks if she is not scared of him, but she smiles since he doesn’t look like a threat to her. Licita told Liebe that she could not be scared of an injured child. She also reveals why she stays away from the citizens due to her magic that takes the life of anything near her. But Liebe won’t be affected since he has no magic. Licita adopted Liebe, who became her child, and Liebe was surprised that the Devil had become the human child.
One day Licita was surprised to see half of Lucifero talking with her. Lucifero never thought a Devil like Liebe would arrive in Human World. Lucifero decided to kill Liebe, but Licita touched Lucifero draining his Mana which saved Liebe. Licita defeated Liebe and died. In the future, Liebe vs. Asta begins after Liebe finishes telling his past. Asta tells Liebe that he accepts the challenge, and they will form a pact once he defeats him. Asta fights with a broken right arm and punches Liebe.
Three swords come from Grimoire and go to Liebe. Asta was surprised to see Captain Yami’s blade and grabbed it. Liebe teases Asta that he is an Anto-Magic brat who can’t use Spatial Transfer. Asta begins to fight on the same level as Liebe, and Yami’s shadow wonders if he has reached his limit. He surpassed his limit and defeated Liebe, then pointed Yami’s blade at him. Nacht tells Asta to get ready for Devil Binding Ritual, where he will connect with Libe. Asta asks Liebe to be his friend. After the Devil Binding Ritual is finished, Liebe enters Asta’s body, and he has a new black Magic right arm. Nacht reveals that Asta has formed a contract with Liebe.

Black Clover Episode 171 is delayed and will be announced by the end of 2022. It was supposed to be released last year in April, but it got delayed.
