At the Awakened Specialization High School, all he has is the ability to regenerate. However, it is supposed to be an S-Rank ability, but not for him. This is because, for him, it just hurts like hell when he regenerates.
What Bones (Manhwa) Is All About?
Later in the chapter, we also see that the bullies just attack him, laugh at him and laugh again when he is in pain from the healing. Not only that, there is not even any proof of the bullying left once he is healed, which is also the reason why he cannot get help from the policemen or the teachers, at least the S-Rank Awakened, who receives special treatment from the government.
Now the reason why he is still doing all this is because of his mother. His dad died when he was young, and he can become a hunter when he gets to graduate. He is enduring that he will at least be a C-Rank Hunter based on his abilities. He thinks that his income will be small, but they will be able to live somewhere better at least, and that is why he thinks that his mother will be happy.
Until now, this seems to be a typical over-power main character story with some cute and adorable girls in the future, right? Well, things get darker when we find out that the same guy who used to bully Kang Jihyoung beat his mother into a vegetative state.
Although they say that it was an accident, as they coincidentally came to his mother’s restaurant and accidentally their abilities flew into a rage. However, of course, he believes it was neither a coincidence nor a rage of their abilities.
Later in the chapter, we see that their bullies are talking about his mother. When one of them asks what if she dies, they say that they don’t care because they are young enough to be protected by the law, and they are Awakened and ask him if he thinks that this is his first time beating someone up.
At the same time, Kang Ji-young shows up there and asks them why did they do that to his mother. However, this guy makes fun of him, asking if she really is his mom because he thinks that she is quite young for that.
