The Gleeok are a type of mini-boss that can be found all over Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Each of the three types—Frost, Fire, and Thunder—that we’ve discussed in this guide can channel its name-brand element, making it difficult to defeat them.
Today we are going to talk about Thunder Gleeok in the game. The Thunder Gleeok of Zelda: Tears of a Kingdom with the other elemental Gleeoks in Hyrule, Gleeok is a boss with some fairly potent drops to offer. Being unprepared will prevent you from receiving those drops because this boss should not be taken lightly.
The Thunder Gleeok is a challenging foe. It not only spews out several “shocking” attacks that finish Link in a matter of seconds, but it affects the surrounding area. You’ll have to avoid a powerful lightning storm that seems to emanate from the large, angry electrical monster in addition to its three heads.
We’re going to walk you through how to defeat the Tears of the Kingdom Thunder Gleeok, so get your Tears of the Kingdom arrows and Tears of the Kingdom elixir meals ready. Now let’s move forward with the locations and fight a guide to defeat this being.

Locations of Thunder Gleeok
Tears of the Kingdom features three Thunder Gleeoks. We can find them at Martha’s Landing on the southern coast of Necluda, just south of Herin Lake, the Akkala Citadel Ruins directly south of Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower, and southwest of the Hyrule there are the Coliseum Ruins.
We advise going to the Coliseum or Akkala Citadel if you want to fight a Thunder Gleeok because both are conveniently located from a nearby Skyview Tower.
How to Beat Thunder Gleeok?
Thunder Gleeoks is one of Tears of the Kingdom’s most dreadfully powerful minibosses. They are equally powerful. They are difficult to hit with arrows and nearly impossible to hit with melee weapons because they fly if that weren’t difficult enough.
You must get ready before fighting the Thunder Gleeok. You’ll need a lot of arrows because the boss must be stunned. Being that it’s a thunder boss, you’ll be vulnerable to lightning, so you can’t be wearing metal. You will need to use Boko bows and construct bows as substitute weapons.
If you can, make some elixirs to increase your shock resistance or acquire some shock-resistant armor like the Rubber Armour set because the Thunder Gleeok hits hard. Don’t forget to prepare some healing meals as well. Now, we will give you a two-phase fight detail.
Phase-I
The Thunder Gleeok will have two to three main attacks it can launch during the opening phase. A wind gust pushes you away, a lightning strike, and thunderclaps. The Gleeok eyeballs will be our main target, and we can easily attack each one of them using Keese Eyeballs or by coming from above. Attacking from above gives you the ability to gain momentum with the slow-motion shoot, enabling you to quickly and accurately end off the three monster heads at the same time.
After killing the three Thunder Gleeok heads, he falls to the ground. You can now return to your heavier metal armor and quickly press the attack button to reduce his health bar. Remember to return your wood/Zonai gear after the Thunder Gleeok stands up again in a few seconds, then go through the process once more.
Phase-II
He will fly up high in the sky and begin unleashing thunder shocks from the sky when he has reduced the Thunder Gleeok’s health by two-thirds. Thunder attacks are simple to avoid because you can see them coming before they touch the ground.
Use the wind to glide up in the sky after the attacks hit the ground. Keep switching between the line of the wind when you reach the Thunder Gleeok in the sky. Once more, use slow motion to eliminate the monster’s heads one at a time; if effective, he will eventually die.
Rewards
You will receive one item for each of the Thunder Gleeok’s heads after you defeat him, giving you three Gleeok Thunder Horns that can function as amazing fusion materials with up to 30 fuse attack power and a further thunder attack bonus.
You might also find three more Gleeok Wings, which are very useful when combined with arrows, and one Gleeok Guts, which can be combined with other elements to produce incredibly potent elixirs.
