Bones of Crows Preview
Aline Spears, a Cree pianist, is forced to live in a residential facility after being uprooted from her place of residence and family home, along with her brothers and sisters. Spears later develops into a vital member of the Allies’ strategic intelligence communications against the Axis forces during World War II, known as a code talker.
Following the conflict, Aline and her husband must deal with all that went wrong for them, including their separation, physical and sexual abuse, childhood trauma, and separation from their children. Aline is on a mission to find her sister Perseverance, whose memories of her torment her from the times they were made to dwell there.
From there, she will encounter many difficulties as she battles her past and present demons in the face of all the bad things that were once accepted as normal but are now undergoing significant revision in preparation for a future in which minorities are not subject to those kinds of excesses from those in positions of power.
