As Netflix continues to embark on the expansion of its catalog for the anime audience, Kengan Ashura Season 2 comes along after a long wait. It is yet another addition to the catalog from the popular streaming platform as it tries to catch the attention of the audience that’s traditionally accustomed to getting their dose of anime from niche distribution powerhouses like Crunchyroll and Funimation.
As such, fans of fighting anime with gory undertones will have a lot of fun seeing their favorite characters battle it out in the powerful Kengan Annihilation Tournament, with all the plot twists and incredible moves that each contestant will need to pull off to get to the top. So, with that as our introduction, let’s see what’s ahead for us concerning Kengan Ashura’s sophomore season debut.
Kengan Ashura Season 2 Preview
Kengan Ashura was greenlit by Netflix on March 2022, marking the way for Yabako Sandrovich’s creation to be distributed with global reach and massive potential. Kengan Ashura is developed by Larx Entertainment and produced by Mainichi Broadcast System, MAGNET, KLab, Shogakugan and Pony Canyon.
Storywise, unarmed hand-to-hand combat in a fighting ring serves as the focal point of Kengan Ashura, a game where companies and merchants settle debts.
These martial competitions take place in a variety of arenas in this tale. And affluent businesses and traders fund these competitions. These competitions are nothing new in the modern era.
These competitions have become a tradition dating back to the Edo era. Even though these bouts aren’t the fighters’ own fights.
Since the Edo era, merchants have relied on these conflicts to settle disputes when they arise. To terminate the disputes between the merchants, their respective fighters would battle to the very end. And this custom is still in use today.
The protagonist of this tale, Tokita Ohma, also known as Ashura, just so happened to overcome Nogi Group’s top fighter in an alley. Tokita Ohma is thus chosen as the next combatant by Nogi Hideki, the CEO of the Nogi organization.
Nogi Hideki chooses to confront the Kengan Association in the Annihilation Tournament after realizing Tokita’s ability. The winner of this duel between two people receives the other’s entire business as their prize.

Kengan Ashura Season 2 Possible Plotlines
As was evident from what transpired in the previous season’s season finale. The battles are becoming harder. That implies that the last six fights will get much more intense. The bouts in round 2 will be significantly more exciting than what we have seen so far in round 1.
Even though Tokita Ohma is our primary character, it is obvious that he won’t be able to win the competition for Nogi Hideki by easily making it to the finals. That was established by the previous season’s season finale. We may anticipate Tokita being removed from the picture through deceit and conspiracies. He really is a formidable opponent.
