Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 Recap And Review
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 is titled “The Shibuya Incident,” and the episode begins with Gojo entering the veil and confronting the curses that want to entrap him. Gojo tells Jogo that he doesn’t need humans entrapped here to keep him. Meanwhile, Ui Ui, accompanied by her younger brother Mei Mei, informs Yuji about the new veil that has been created on the lower platform.
Ui Ui uses her powers to analyze the situation and comprehend that there are transfigured humans also at the lower platform, which makes Yuji realize that the cursed spirit Mahito is there, and he gets angry.
Ui Ui offers Yuji a choice to fight a powerful cursed spirit protecting the Veil or take care of the transfigured human and also adds that she knows him and he would want to do the former rather than the latter. Thus, Ui Ui and Mei Mei go below to take care of the latter while Yuji goes on the lift the veil and take care of the cursed spirit.

Yuji vs. The Grasshopper Cursed Spirit
Yuji’s fight against the Grasshopper cursed spirit was no doubt the main highlight of the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8, and it was incredibly choreographed. As Yuji enters the platform, he sees the cursed spirit eating a human and realizes that the cursed spirit is strong since it has intelligence.
The cursed spirit is pretty intent on proving that it is clever, and Yuji makes fun of him and says that clever people do not announce that they are clever. Yuji charges to fight and gives the cursed spirit a beating. The animation for this part may not have been the best, considering how we saw Gojo fighting against Toji and how even the smallest details of the hidden inventory arc had been.
Nevertheless, it was a great fight, and even after learning so much about the grasshoppers in the latest episode, we saw that Yuji’s inhuman raw strength is too much for the former to handle, and Yuji easily lifts the veil.
Later, Yuji meets up with Mei Mei and Ui Ui, where Ui Ui complements that Yuji is already a grade 1 sorcerer level. Getting to the platform, the groups stumble upon only a single human and realize that everyone else is gone and Mahito isn’t seen in sight.
Gojo Confronts the Cursed Spirits
The last amazing event for the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 sees Gojo meeting up with the curse spirits, Gojo, Hanami, and Choso, where Jogo tells Gojo that they will be killing the people even if Gojo is here as they are informed by Geto that Gojo is vulnerable when he is not able to fight alone.
In addition, the latest episode introduces Domain Amplification, which is like a cheap copy of Domain expansion and lets the user nullify the opponent’s cursed techniques; thus, Hanami and Jogo are able to for through Gojo’s limitless.
After realizing this, Gojo manically gets up on the air, saying that it is hilarious that they thought it would be enough to defeat him. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 was an amazing build-up and also gives justice to our main character.
