Pearl Boy is a BL and drama manhwa that became popular after it was released on Lezhin. The story involves Kang Dooshik and Jooha. Dooshik runs away with the money from the gay bar he used to work at and flees to a small coastal area, with no money in his pocket. After coming across a small sea food restaurant, Dooshik crosses paths with Jooha, a young man working there. He realizes that there is something special about Jooha and both of them get involved in each other’s life, possibly endangering both of them in process.

In the previous chapter of Pearl Boy, Jooha wakes up at in his bed and sees someone talking on the phone in front of him. Jooha approaches the man and realizes that he is the guy from Izakaya, tattoos covering his neck and even his face. Jooha finds out that his name is Zen and hears him talking on the phone with Dooshik. Jooha calls Dooshik as well and asks him what is the meaning of this and where he was. Dooshik apologizes to Jooha and says that he had somethings to take care so he sent Zen to look after Jooha instead.

Jooha feels offended by Dooshik’s words and says that even Dooshik was hurt a lot, and he also needs rest. Jooha hears weird noises coming from the background and Dooshik cuts the call. Jooha is left anxious, wondering if something bad will happen again. Zen notices that and gives Jooha a drink to calm down, and tells him to rest up, eat well and recover quick so he can get his payment. He also tells Jooha not to call Dooshik unless it is something urgent since he doesn’t want to be disturbed.

On the other hand, Dooshik has Dae-Kwang captured and watches him get absolutely wrecked by a number of his men.
