Hellsing is an anime television series based on the Japanese manga series of the same name. The serialized version consists of thirteen episodes which were released on October 11, 2001, till January 17, 2002.
The anime is about an organization called Hellsing that was originally led by Abraham Van Helsing as they fight supernatural forces like vampires, ghouls, and others to protect the queen of England and the country from them. After the death of Abraham, the organization is now run by the daughter Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, who is accompanied by her trusted butler Walter C. and a loyal vampire named Alucard.

4. Devilman: Crybaby (2018)
Devilman: Crybaby is an anime based on the manga series named Devilman by Go Nagai. It’s about a high school student named Akira as he gets into a fight one day and gets saved by his childhood friend Ryo who tells him that he has recently found out about the existence of demons, but the government doesn’t want the public to know about them in order to avoid causing panic among people of Tokyo.
The two friends Akira and Ryo go to a nightclub where they attack a man with a broken bottle which makes the demons present there to appear i front of them. As Akira tries to fight him, Ryo records everything in his mobile. Suddenly, Akira turns into a devilman and slaughters all demon which also gets captured in Ryo’s mobile and Akira makes him promise not to tell anyone about his transformation. Drifters is an anime based on the manga of the same name by Kouta Hirano. The anime is about a wounded soldier named Shimazu Toyohisa as he finds himself magically transported to another world where he meets other soldiers who had been transported there before him. Claymore is an anime based on the manga of the same name by Norihiro Yagi. The anime is set in a time where humans are attacked by an alien species called Yoma that feed on them. To stop Yoma from killing humans, an organization is formed which creates a hybrid of Yoma and humans called Claymore to kill these creatures in exchange of a fee.

Trigun is an anime which is based on a manga series of the same name by Yasuhiro Nightow. It’s about a man named Vash who has a 60 billion dollars bounty on his head because he destroyed a city after her supernatural powers got out of his control. Blood+ is an anime series set in 2005 and follows the story of a school going girl named Saya Otonashi. Noblesse: Awakening is an anime series based on the South Korean webtoon of the same name. It’s about a world where supernatural beings named ‘nobles’ existed and ruled the world like gods. Among them was a mysterious supernatural ‘Noblesse’ named Rai.

Witch Hunter Robin is an anime series about a craft user Robin as she goes to the STN-J organization as an undercover hunter to find information about the ‘secrets of the crafts’ for another organization named Soloman. 16. Blood-C (2011)
Blood-C is an anime series which follows the life of a girl named Saya who goes to school and hangs out with her friends during the day and kills Elder Bairns which are dangerous creatures that feed on human blood during the night. Saya was leading a peaceful life as a swordswoman and a schoolgirl but after an Elder Bairns kills two of her friends, she is devastated.
With the help of her teacher Kanako, Saya finds a library which contains information about the Elder Bairns but the library turns out to be fake. 17. Black Blood Brothers (2006)
Black Blood Brothers is an anime based on the novels of the same name. It follows the story of an old vampire named Jiro Mochizuki who is also known as the Silver Blade as he defeats the Kowloon king and his children and ends his control over the city.

Soon it is revealed that Yakumo is the son of a professor whom Pai had met four years ago and who was helping her discover the artifact. She gives Yakumo a letter which was written by his father, asking him to help her in finding the artifact. The rest of the series follows Pai and Yakumo on their quest to turn Pai into a human.

37. Tokko (2006)
Tokko is an anime series about Ranmaru Shindo, who is a survivor of the Machida massacre that took place five years ago from now. He graduated from The Special Mobile Investigation Forces, also known as Tokki, which he had joined to find the truth behind his parent’s death which happened during the massacre. On the same day, he meets the girl Sakura Rokujo whom he had been constantly seeing in his dreams.
The rest of the anime series follows Ranmaru as he discovers about the other world where demons and other supernatural creatures exist. With the help of Sakura, he is able to find out the truth behind Machida massacre. Tokko consists of 13 episodes which aired in 2006.

38. Basilisk (2005)
Basilisk is an anime series based on the manga series of the same name by Masaki Segawa. It follows the story of two rival ninja clans Iga and Kouga as they indulge in a war but are stopped by a powerful warlord Ieyasu.
Severa years later, the heir of both clans falls in love and decides to get married, thinking that it would become a sign of peace between the two clans, but it backfires on them and starts a war between the two clans again. Now the heir of the warlock, who is set to claim shogunate, tell both clans to send 10 warriors each to fight in a bloody war. The winner clan will get a favor from shogunate for a thousand years.

Tokyo Majin is an animated series based on a video game of the same name. It is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by ‘reborn dead’ who disappear from the morgue during the night but reappear during the day.
As the number of death cases increases in Tokyo, two high school students Tatsuma and Kyouichi, decide to take matters into their own hands. The two friends stay up every night killing the zombie-like creatures before they can kill anybody else. Angel Sanctuary is an original video animation series that consists of 3 episodes. It is based on the manga series of the same name by Kaori Yuki. It follows the story of a 16-year-old boy Setsuna Mudo who lives his life by staying invisible. At school, he is afraid to be bullied by his seniors and prefers to keep his head down while struggling to keep his feelings for his younger sister Sara a secret.
Soon, he finds out that he is the reincarnation of Alexiel who was an angel. He soon finds himself in the crossfire of angels and demons who try to get him on their side. The anime follows Setsuna as he professes his love to Sara while trying to find his purpose in life.

41. Strait Jacket (2007)
Strait Jacket is an original video animation series that consists of 3 episodes. It is based on the manga series of the same name by Ichiro Sakaki. The anime is set in a time when magic existed along with science and technology. The people who used too much magic turned into demons due to a curse and couldn’t be killed by ordinary weapons. To avoid such demons and ensure the safe use of magic, the Magic administration bureau was formed.
A group of mercenaries called Oddman became the bureau’s enemies by using too much magic and making other people use it too which resulted in them turning into demons. To keep these demons at bay, the bureau takes the help of hunters who wear a ‘straitjacket’ that keeps them from turning into demons every time they use their magic. The series follows one such hunter named Leiot as he joins hands with the bureau and kills those demons while trying to stay sane.

42. Zombie-Loan (2007)
Zombie Loan is an anime based on the manga series of the same name by Peach-Pit. The anime follows the story of Michiru Kita, who is a school-going girl with the ability to see when a person is going to die. When a person is close to their death, a grey-colored ring appears around their neck, which darkens over time till it becomes black and the person dies.
One day, Michiru notices that two of her classmates, Chika and Shito, have a black ring around their necks, but they haven’t died yet. Later it is revealed that during the accident, the two boys had made a Zombie- loan contract according to which they have to hunt zombies in exchange for staying alive. When the boys find out that Michiru can see who is going to die and when they make her a member of their team, and they begin hunting zombies together. Zombie-loan consists of 13 episodes which aired in 2007.

Gantz is an anime about two best friends, Kei and Kato, as they find themselves in a room full of strangers instead of heaven after they have died. Along with the strangers, a black sphere ball is also present in the room. They are told that they will be sent for missions where they will have to kill aliens and various other creatures that are disrupting the peace on Earth.
The anime series follows the two best friends as they embark on a dangerous journey filled with violence, high-powered suits, and a very low scope of survival. Gantz consists of 26 episodes which aired in 2004.

44. Noir (2001)
Noir is an anime about two young girls, Mireille and Kirika as they embark on a journey to find out about their pasts. Throughout the series, the two girls try to unravel the mystery of Kirika’s lost memories and the connection between them. They decide to become assassins and fight together while calling themselves Noir.
Soon the girls realize that they have been set up by an organization named Les Soldats, who are humans but a separate part of them. Les Soldats sent their soldiers to kill Kirika and Mireille to find out whether the two girls were worthy of being called Noir or not. Noir consists of 26 episodes which aired in 2001.
