VICE is a documentary show that began on HBO on April 5, 2013. Shane Smith, the creator, and host of VICE uses an immersionist form of documentary filmmaking to cover a variety of themes from across the world for each episode that is told by the reporter for that region. The focus of the show is on conflicts, including borderline politics, the climate crisis, child labor, international conflicts, terrorism, and every part of global culture and politics.
Up until this point, the ninth season has addressed a number of critical issues. An essential component of the season was the Russian staging of the war. The WNBA star Brittney Griner and her potential outcome, the issue of frankincense used in essential oils and the gun issue in America, the cyber warfare between Ukraine and Russia, the developments concerning the Supreme Court’s decision regarding inhabitants of Oklahoma, etc. all contributed to making Season 9 a great watch that was at once educational, enlightening, and awakening.
