Aiming to provide an insight into Critical Role‘s lore, a new episode of the talk show, 4-Sided Dive, will soon be uploaded on the D&D channel. Releasing new episodes each month, the series is a sister show to Critical Role, a Dungeons & Dragons gameplay featuring voice actors, each playing their special characters.
Critical Role has been airing since March 13th, 2015, and involves Matthew Mercer hosting a campaign for the immersive imagination game comprising fantasy characters and their interesting lore. 4-Sided Dive was launched recently to provide Critical Role lovers with an in-depth breakdown of all episodes. This helps make the story much clearer and also points out things that anyone could have missed in the show’s hour-long episodes.
The discussion series has been airing since April 5th, 2022, and began with Robbie, Matthew, Marisha, and Travis talking about the major events from the recent episodes of its main show. The episodes usually start with four or more players from Critical Role rolling up die to decide the host of the day.
After the host is decided, they read the questions fans had asked about the episodes and answer them as a group. They also usually play a small game or enjoy other video games like FNAF or Mario Kart. Until now, 4-Sided Dive has managed to clear up any doubts surrounding the lore of Campaign 3’s Bells Hells, all with the help of its Tower of Inquiry and Chenga Tower.
4-Sided Dive Episode 10: Recap
The previous episode begins with everyone rolling the dice to see who the next host will be. Ashley, Liam, Sam, and Travis are the guests seen in this episode. The host of the episode turns out to be Sam Riegel. To decide how he’ll be reading the script, Sam tosses a coin and starts reading as a drunk Jimmy Stewart.
The talk of the first segment begins, and the topic is The Gogynei getting together. Travis recalls the experience of being nice as he was only expecting werewolves. Chetney had turned into a werewolf after being bitten. He explains that the others monitored the new “curse,” and it was a responsibility that Chetney had to be careful of using.
Ashley asks Sam and Travis about their choice of werewolves, to which Sam replies he could be a Were-rat or a were-eagle. Liam brings out the fight at the end and the fun that everyone had. Chetney had access to many powers and had a great amount of power during the fight. When Sam asks if he could ever get that powerful again, everyone’s unsure as it was specifically due to the spirit of the moment.
Travis then talks about his love for werewolves ever since he was a child. They talk about Liam’s small sword, which could also act as a ranged weapon. He had named it Seedling, The Wayward Pilgrim. Dani later explains the origins of the Critical Role and its beings, with the Primordials being closed off from God’s new creations.
