American Dad Season 20 Episode 6 was hilarious as usual, and this time, Stan was a bad partner to his wife, Francine. Stan doesn’t realize that he has been an absent husband to Francine, and instead of reigniting their romance after finding letters from Francine’s former admirer, Stan goes out to hunt them down. Stan is a usual upper-middle-class man who fulfills the traditional role of a husband but often forgets to keep his wife happy emotionally.

American Dad is one of the longest-running adult-cartoon sitcoms, having amassed 20 seasons so far. The show portrays the family dynamics and the struggles of an average urban family pretty well. Stan is a CIA agent, and although his family may look normal from the outside, it is nothing like that in reality. Stan is married to Francine, who is an average stay-at-home wife, taking care of household affairs and the children in Stan’s absence.

Stan has a son Steve who has an introverted personality and often indulges in activities like Dungeons and Dragons and reading comic books, which make him look like a nerd. Stan’s daughter Hayley is an average rebellious adolescent who likes to act independent and doesn’t hesitate to speak her mind. The family also includes an alien named Roger, who they have been guarding, as well as a talking goldfish named Klaus, who seems to be extremely wise but is hopelessly in love with Francine. 

American Dad shows the family dynamics between the members of a rather traditional household with unconventional members. The show is popular for its well-timed comedy and intelligent but subtle humor, which highlight some key issues in modern society. This satirical cartoon has been well-received by the audience due to its unconventional humor and relatability as well. American Dad Season 20: The Story So Far

American Dad is about an upper-middle-class family of four living in Langley, Virginia. Smiths are a conventional family following the traditional roles, with Stan as the patriarch of the family and his wife Francine as a homemaker. Their daughter Hayley is a rebellious child who is outspoken, socialist, and a hippie and is shown to be old enough to go the college. Their son Steve is a reserved geek who has an interest in video games, comics, and famous games like Dungeons and Dragons. 

Additionally, they live with an Alien named Roger, who also has a son named Rogu. Roger is shown to be incredibly selfish and only cares about himself. They also have a talking fish Klaus who is infatuated with Francine. In Episode 6, Stan is a neglectful husband to Francine, but he doesn’t want to admit it. Stan ends up discovering some old letters to be written to Francine by her old admirers, but instead of self-reflecting and reigniting their bond, Stan goes on a hunt to find the people who had written the letter.

He notices that one of the letters had been written by someone who also works in the CIA and has written beautiful poetry. Stan rushes there and haphazardly requests his co-workers to help him write poetry. In the process, he discovers the printer Bullock had used. Bullock reveals that the printer has part of Stan’s brain. Instead of working on himself, Stan drags around the printer to make it write the romantic things he is unable to say. In a turn of events, the printer actually develops feelings for Francine.

The printer tries to kill Stan several times with Steve’s help, and a frustrated Stan dumps the printer at the side of the road. The printer is picked up by Dr. Weitzman, who builds the printer a robot body. Later, Stan and Francine go out for dinner, but they are intercepted by the robot printer and its robot army. After everything is over, Stan realizes that Francine only wants Stan to be with her, and that’s enough for her.
