Disappearance Of Heather Elvis: The Affair
Sidney Moorer, a married 37-year-old Socastee resident who fixed the kitchen appliances at the restaurant Elvis worked at, caught Elvis’ attention in June 2013. Heather has time and again made evident that she was interested in older men through her social media accounts. Bri, another employee at the restaurant who also shared her apartment with Elvis, revealed that Heather was quite interested in Sidney. A little over a month later, she made sexual advances toward him and indicated the intention to rape him. After a few days, she tweeted that she had committed a terrible sin but would yet carry on. The coworkers clarified that Sidney talked about the relationship as well.
It also came to light that When Moorer wasn’t working, he would frequently visit the restaurants with the intention of hiring Elvis to look after his kids. Moore has acknowledged that he stopped communicating with Heather after their relationship ended in September 2013. But in reality, he communicated with Elvis frequently, which caused Tammy, Moorer’s wife, to learn about their romance. Bri claimed that Sidney has consistently pulled Heather apart as a person and gave her numerous pictures of Moorer and herself having intimate moments to make her envious and feel bad about herself. Moorer’s phone password was also changed by Tammy to a secret one that only she knew.
Tammy kept in touch with Elvis and verbally and physically threatened her. Tammy also made an attempt to get Elvis terminated from her position at the restaurant by calling them frequently and threatening to have her husband quit fixing the machinery as long as Elvis was employed there. Elvis ended her affair with Moorer amicably and requested Moorer to prevent his wife from meddling in her affairs or harassing her.

Disappearance Of Heather Elvis: What Really Happened?
According to her friends and relatives, Elvis was getting over the relationship and had landed a post at a salon in the heart of Myrtle Beach. Coworkers, however, noticed that Elvis had gained weight and believed she might be expecting. Elvis, however, tried to move on and ended up going out with a guy named S. Schiraldi on the evening of the 17th of December. Around 1:15 a.m. EST, Elvis was dropped at her apartment by her date. Twenty minutes later, a payphone call was made to Elvis’s mobile device.
Soon after, Bri, who was at the time out of state, received a call from Elvis. Heather explained to her friend that Sidney called and begged Elvis to meet with him, and he was soon going to split from his wife. Bri advised her against doing so and ended the call. Shockingly Elvis has not been able to be traced after Dec 18, 2013.
The Verdict
A search for the premises was conducted by the police in early 2014. The Moorers were both detained at the residence and charged with murder, kidnapping, obstructing justice, and two charges of indecent exposure after law officers combed the area for 11 hours, and sexually graphic photos were discovered on their phones. Sidney was then charged with obstruction as a result of his first denial of using the payphone, while a security camera footage from the petrol station showed him making the call. Moorers received a lot of support on social media, and people blamed Heather instead of calling her a stalker.
Although there was no direct evidence of convicting them, Sidney’s lie made the cops reinvestigate the case. An 11-day trial was held in 2018, and after four hours of deliberation, the jury found Tammy guilty on both charges. The video footage, the messages, and the accused’s interviews helped them frame a timeline of events. She received 30 years for each conviction. In 2019, a second trial was held for Sidney, who was then convicted of being responsible for the kidnapping of Heather Elvis and given a 30-year prison term.
