Soo Bin is at the clinic getting ready for the test when she sees a boy and starts to feel nervous. She dashes back to Hye’s book repair store after leaving her house. When she discusses JHoon with Hye, Hye Joo is unhappy.
She enters a mental trance as she continues to worry because Ji Hoon has never looked at her as a mom. She requests that Soo Bin depart. Through flashbacks, we watch Joong Do tell Hye Joo that he will stand for state representative.
Although she is not quite satisfied with it, she begs him to swear not to bring up politics or domestic concerns with her. In the present, Hye Joo expresses gratitude to Joong Do for abiding by her wish to keep her out of politics until he needed her.

The next day, Joong breezes past Soo and crashes into her without accepting or even acknowledging her as the viewer learns that his mother-in-law gave him a golf club at the time of their wedding and exploits that against him; Ki’s participation seems to increase.
Joong Do understands Ki’s predicament, but he tells his team to figure out another way to carry out the campaign sans Ki Young because Ki Young is related to real estate, which is the subject of Joong’s effort. Joong Do’s team convinces him to include his spouse more in politics and public appearances since failing to do so send a signal that something may be amiss in his personal life.

Astounded, Seung Hee enters her mother’s room to confront her. She discovers her late brother Seung Ho’s possessions there, making her happy smaller, and less worthy of her late brother, who died over 20 years ago.
Representative Kang’s mention of Joong’s late kid Ji Hoon and his drug participation turns Joong’s bill against unscrupulous real estate enterprises on its head. He departs amid the discussion, delaying the bill’s vote. Jae, in contrast, hand, informs Joong that Young is en route to see Do.
Ki Young searches the internet for information about the Assemblyman and comes across a photo of the Assemblyman and his wife, who also happens to be a classmate. We will see that Seung Hee will approach Hye Joo and address her as Kim Jae Eun.
