One Piece shows the journeys of Monkey D. Luffy, who eats the Devil fruit unintentionally, enabling his body to get rubber like properties. Aiming to get the treasure hidden by Gol D. Roger, he wishes to find the One Piece and become the Pirate King. He is accompanied by his crew, sailing across islands in perilous waters to find the treasure.
One Piece Chapter 1080: Recap
Chapter 1080 of One Piece starts off at Pirate Island, where pirates hunt for Koby, a five-star wanted man who has a bounty of five hundred million. On the other side of Pirate face mountain, Koby and the slaves are trying to run from the pirates. The slaves tell him to run away and thank him for helping them out. The pirates try their best not to lose track of Koby.
We get to see Pizarro, a pirate who has consumed the Island-Island fruit, and Shiryu, an invisible man who ate the Clear-Clear fruit, and Vasco, a booze man devising plans to trap Koby and not let him flee. Of course, Koby is found by the pirates and is taken captive.
The leader of the Blackbeard pirates asks Koby if the Pirate Island could have a government, to which Koby says that it sounds delusional because no one would acknowledge a nation of criminals. He tells them that they are wasting their time because Koby is a member of the sword. However, one of the pirates states that Sword members are marines who have resigned and are no longer recognized on paper.
After a while, three marines start attacking the island, and Koby wonders if they are here to save him. But he realizes that the world does not revolve around him, and he needs to get a grip on himself. It is seen that the Marines have come.
One of the pirates beheads a person, but he is a Logia, so it does not kill him. Koby was surrounded by pirates with guns who were about to fire, but instead of bullets, flowers came out thanks to Hibari’s flower gun. On the other side, Prince, with his golem powers, has changed the town’s planning, which creates chaos among the pirates.
And lastly, with all the preparation having been completed, a battleship is blasted off into the island, and everyone is shocked to see that it is Admiral Garp who is in the battleship. Everyone went into a frenzy after seeing him, and they all decided to run for it. However, running away is not going to be enough; they would have to sail away from this island, but they were all trapped in the center of the town with no escape routes.
Garp yells at every one of the Blackbeard pirates, calling them turds and telling them that he should not have messed with Koby because he is the future of the Marines and the irreplaceable protege to Garp. And with that, he unleashes the destructive power of the Galaxy Fist, destroying the whole island.

According to Eiichiro Oda himself, One Piece will take a long week break after the release of chapter 1080. The new schedule, according to One Piece spoilers on Twitter, is that after the release of chapter 1081 as well, the manga would go on another break, after which chapter 1082 will be released. Hence, the release date of chapter 1081 of One Piece has been shifted to 24th April 2023 at 12 am JST.
