Why did Shannon leave the apprentice? The popular reality television shows The Apprentice made its debut back in 2004 as several people participated to become an apprentice to a businessman. The popularity of the original show was followed by numerous international versions as well.
Fans are excited as The Apprentice has already returned with its 2023 season as the first episode has already aired on 5th January on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The season premiere saw as many as 18 new candidates as they headed to Antigua for the first task. As viewers saw how these participants needed to sell and do tours of the Caribbean island. Why did Shannon Leave the Apprentice?
Earlier in January this year, Shannon Martin took everyone by surprise after she announced that she had decided to quit The Apprentice. While confused about Lord Alan Sugar, Shannon admitted that she decided as the show was not the right environment for her.
Shannon further explained that she felt like she just could not focus on the tasks as she was constantly thinking about what was going on at home. She further added that at the back of her mind, she knew that everything would be okay and that the team is amazing, but she was a perfectionist who did not sit well with this.
Shannon Martin has further admitted that she does not need a business partner and is looking forward to focusing on her million-pound business.
The businesswoman admitted that even before going into the process, she was having second thoughts about whether to do it or not because it has been a show that she has looked up to for so long and was a long-life goal to be on The Apprentice. After finding out that she got the opportunity, it was not possible to turn around as she believed that it would have been a silly decision.

Who is Shannon Martin?
Shannon Martin is a successful bridal boutique owner who recently came into the limelight after participating in the hit BBC reality television show, The Apprentice. The wedding dress expert is running not one but two shops, namely, Dotty Bridal and Off The Peg bridal wear shops located in Holmfirth.
While Shannon’s stay on the show was rather brief, she managed to make quite an impression on viewers. Shannon says how her biggest weakness is struggling to prioritize while further adding that when she comes up with an idea, she just wants to do it there and then and take everybody along with her on the ride!
Earlier, Shannon explained how she is deserving of Lord Sugar’s investment because she believes that her business is all based in the UK and explained how there are not many other businesses that design or manufacture wedding dresses that are made primarily made in the UK.
Shannon Martin Reveals The Reason Behind Her Exit!
While fans have been taken aback after Shannon Martin decided to step back from the BBC show, Shannon admitted that while she already has a very successful business and felt like there were more deserving people there than her and thus decided that it is not right for her to stay in the process.
Shannon further added that her two weeks stay in the competition also taught her to listen to her gut and that if she gets a feeling, she should just go with it. The participant also admitted that she felt like she was not in the conception for all the right reasons and called the other candidates amazing and believes that there are so many amazing businesses there that she feels deserve to win.
