In the previous chapter of Tonari No Furi-San Ga Tonikaku Kowai, it is finally Valentine’s Day, and everyone is exchanging chocolates. Furi prepares special chocolates for Taira and decides she will give them to him later in secret. Everyone exchanges gifts at school, and the already nervous Furi gets even more discouraged when she overhears a girl crying after getting rejected. Furi decides not to give Taira the chocolates in case he finds her feelings burdensome and ends their friendship.

Later, Taira is over the moon that Furi has given him chocolates and carefully clicks a lot of photographs, thinking it would be a waste to eat them.
