Why Did Kate Walsh Leave The Grey’s Anatomy?
While Kate Walsh’s entry as Addison Montgomery in the hit Median drama seemed to stir some drama in the show, fans began to like the character after a while but were soon heartbroken when she left the show. Walsh bid her goodbye to Seattle Grace after Grey’s Anatomy Season 3. However, given the popularity of her role as Addison, she soon reprised her role in Private Practice.
The actress later admitted that she was shocked and excited but was mostly totally blown away. Walsh added that she was just thrilled because she felt like the right thing.

What Happened To Derek Shepherd?
Fans were left heartbroken when Derek Shepherd was killed off in the show while putting an end to Meredith and Derek’s fairy tale love story. At the same time, rumors of the actor getting into some on-set feuds led to his departure. Patrick Dempsey had a different reason to leave.
The actor insisted that the reason was rather personal, as he thought that being on a network show full-time was too time-consuming for him and had left him barely left him any time to spend with his family.
However, former executive producers James D. Parriott and Jeannine Renshaw later made a major revelation in their book, How to Save a Life: The Inside Story of Grey’s Anatomy, stating that there indeed was actual tension between Dempsey and series creator Shonda Rhimes. However, the actor returned for a cameo role where he briefly reunited with Meredith.
