Let’s know Why Were Imposter Cancelled? Imposter is a drama, comedy, mystery, and crime genre series. It was aired for two seasons with 20 episodes combined in both seasons—the second season aired in 2018 from April 5 to June 7. A dark Comedy television series was aired for the first season in 2017.
These type of shows become popular every day, and viewers of these type of show then speculate what will happen in the next season when two has already premiered. But the fan should know that this series has been canceled by the makers, and in this article, you will get to know what is the reason for the cancellation of the show.
In a short time, Imposters Season 3’s official cancellation had been finalized. Rob Heaps, one of the Imposters cast members, posted. Therefore, the third season of Imposters won’t air, at least not on Bravotv. Everybody is depressed, but that’s just life. I appreciate everything about our amazing run. The show is currently being discussed with Netflix about picking it up.
This at least makes two things clear. Bravo TV has canceled Imposters 3, and Netflix might air it shortly. However, we’ll have to wait for it to happen. Particularly after knowing that this show won’t return to Bravo TV, fans and viewers are quite sad. There were further instances of the exhibition’s enormous potential and prospective growth.
Although Season 2 ended satisfactorily, there were no “cliffhangers” for the audience. The Bumblers—Maddie, Max, Sally, and Sofia—tried to outwit the Doctor in the final episodes to secure their release and receive a lifetime score. Niagara Falls served as the setting. Due to Ezra’s Toby jug con, an unforeseen reunion with an ex-girlfriend occurs. Maddie, Max, Sally, and the Bumblers began to carry out their daring scheme to kill the Doctor.
Why Was Imposter Cancelled?
Now get ready for the real question why was this show canceled? The main reason which has been specified till now for the cancellation is due to its poor ratings as the second season got a very less number audience as compared to the previous one, and the data shows that almost 4.4 million people watched Season 1 and 500000 people watched Season 2.
This is also the main reason why the makers had to cancel the show. In 2020, there was a belief that the show would be renewed for a third season, but it didn’t happen. The second season ended without a proper reason and a proper conclusion, so the story has not ended, and there are many more things to tell.
I don’t think the mystery drama is a priority right now for Netflix because they have a lot on their plate as they get ready to launch a lot of new material in the coming year, but it might be in the future. It wouldn’t be the first time that a network-canceled series was saved by Netflix. Lucifer and You, two of the most well-liked programs on the streaming giant, were canceled and taken up by Netflix.
The executive producer of the show Paul Adelstein posted several tweets on June 2, 2018, saying all the things regarding the third season of Imposters. In the first part of the tweet, he says that he is very thank you for the audience for being such passionate and engaged viewers for this show. The show has got tons of love from the audience, and they’re gratified about that.
In the second tweet, he says that the finale of the next week was never considered as a series finale but due to some reasons, the show will end after the second season finale. It’ll work to keep Maddie, Ezra, Jules, Richard, Max, Patrick, Sally, and Sofia circling in your heads for a while.
He says that Maddy is going to and Azra will also start, and now the audience has to decide for themselves that he is also ready to hear what they think, and he considers the cancellation a very disappointing one, but you always thank the audience for tuning in. He concluded the tweet by saying see you in the game and the declaration by Paul and Adam.
