Showtime Begins Ending Explained: Goodbye To Magic Factory Employees
Saying goodbye to our adorable ghost gang was one of the toughest parts of Showtime Begins ending! After all, Nam Sang Goon, Ma Dong Chul, and Kang A Reum have stolen millions of hearts with their crazy antics. Besides, the bond between Cha Cha Woong and the Magic Factory employees was heartwarming. Therefore, before bidding goodbye, we got closures of all three characters’ stories.
Chief Nam Sang Goon’s Story
From Now On, Showtime! ending explained how Nam Sang Goon died. When he was alive, Nam Sang Goon was overworking for his family, especially his daughter, who wanted to be a pianist. Nam Sang Goon worked as a designated driver to buy his daughter a new piano, which eventually ruined his life. Due to a drunk customer’s reckless action, Nam Sang Goon lost his life in a car accident.
However, his daughter believed it was her fault that Nam Sang Goon died. Hence, she refused to participate in a competition. Therefore, Nam Sang Goon asked Cha Cha Woong to help him meet or talk to his daughter as his last wish. Unlike Chief Nam, Ma Dong Chul’s story was different. He was a gangster and a member of Mr. Badger’s gang. However, after falling in love with the sweet and simple Kim Mi Young, Ma Dong Chul decided to quit the game. Therefore, when he told the same to his boss, Mr. Badger asked him to do his last task, which ended up taking his life. Mr. Badger betrayed Ma Dong Chul, stabbing him and even killing his love, Kim Mi Young, who he was going to marry and settle down.
Thus when Kim Mi Young’s evil spirit appeared, Cha Cha Woong and his gang helped her ease the years of resentment, anger, and pain. Ultimately, Director Ma married his long-lost love, Kim Mi Young, fulfilling his last wish of finding true love. Maknae Kang A Reum’s Story
Showtime Begins ending also explained Kang A Reum’s story. It revealed that Kang A Reum was crippled by polio when she was alive. So she wanted to repay their kindness. While preparing for her exam, a fire broke in her dorm, taking her life.

Once again, a fire erupted at the orphanage thanks to possessed Seo Hee Soo, pushing her into one of the worst nightmares. However, seeing a little girl in distress, Kang A Reum gathered her courage and saved her, fulfilling her last wish.

Why Did Cha Cha Woong Break Up With Ko Seul Hae?
Apart from the Magic Factory employee’s stories, the ending of From Now On, Showtime! showed how Cha Cha Woong and Ko Seul Hae’s relationship turned 180 degrees in Episode 16. After finding that Hae Chun Moo’s spirit was lurking freely outside, Cha Cha Woong permitted Choi Geom to possess him. After all, that was the only way to end the evil spirit.
However, the mission was not easy, and it might take his life. So as not to make his love more miserable, Cha Cha Woong broke up with Ko Seul Hae stating his feelings had disappeared. But Ko Seul Hae didn’t give up there. She tries to contact him and even confronts Shaman Na Geum Ok, only to return empty hands. Meanwhile, Cha Cha Woong went to the cave to cultivate his spiritual power to fight Hae Chun Moo.
Who Killed Shaman Na Geum Ok?
While Cha Cha Woong was preparing for the upcoming battle, Cheon Ye Ji told Ko Seul Hae about everything Cha Cha Woong was planning. So without wasting time, she confronted Cha Cha Woong and finally resolved their issue, only to meet possessed Seo Hee Soo on her way back home. Therefore, while fighting, the real Seo Hee Soo tried to surface. But it eventually led to both getting hurt badly.
Later in the hospital, Hae Chun Moo left Seo Hee Soo’s body. He took over his father, Chief Seo, knowing Ko Seul Hae already knew his identity. And thus, afterward, possessed Chief Seo planned to capture Cha Cha Woong so he wouldn’t perform the ritual. For this purpose, he brutally killed Shaman Na Geum Ok and set up Cha Cha Woong as her murderer since the police found him with the crime weapon.

Did Cha Cha Woong Die In The End?
Many must have predicted Shaman Na Geum Ok’s death by Showtime Begins ending. But no one saw coming Cha Cha Woong’s cessation! After getting arrested in charge of Shaman Na’s murder, Choi Geom helped him to run away. Thus, Cha Cha Woong drove to his hometown. In the middle of his journey, his car broke down, and he had to walk all the way back to his home.
However, during his travel, he encountered three elders who resembled Chief Nam, Director Ma, and Kang A Reum. They let him stay for a night before he continued his journey. After reaching his old home, Cha Cha Woong and Cheon Ye Ji performed the ritual so Choi Geum could possess him since Shaman Na was no more. But by the ending, he discovered that the possessed Chief had kidnapped Ko Seul as he was trying to kill her.
Thankfully he reached at the right time and tried to fight Hae Chun Moo, but the latter tricked him and possessed Ko Seul Hae instead. So leaving him with no option and thus Cha Cha Woong offered Hae Chun Moo to possess him and leave his love. However, once Hae Chun Moo entered his body, he ordered Choi Geom to kill him with the sacred sword, sacrificing his life for his love.
When The Future Meets The Past
By the ending of From Now On, Showtime! Cha Cha Woong forgave Choi Geom, freeing him to go to heaven. However, instead of vanishing, his soul traveled back in time, specifically, 2000 years ago, the day before that tragedy happened. The modern Cha Cha Woong met the ancient Princess Chun Hwa. She told him her wish to be with him in every life. So even after knowing the consequence of tomorrow’s event, Princess chose to be with her love than live a life without him. And thus, with a promise to find each other in the next lives, Cha Cha Woong’s soul returned to the modern time.

Did Choi Geom Finally Go To Heaven?
Besides all the romance and drama, a little twist that no one predicted by the ending of Showtime Begins was Choi Geom’s failure! He got accused of sponging off and abusing his power. So the great jade emperor passed the verdict to return to the human world and happily retribute for deed for Cha family. So even after 2000 years, Choi Geom didn’t get to taste his paradise!
5 Years Later…
Episode 16 ending of From Now On, Showtime! revealed that after his little time travel, Cha Cha Woong and Ko Seul finally got together. Chief Seo got arrested for killing Shaman Na Geum Ok. It was all thanks to officer Lee Yong Ryul who found CCTV footage confirming Cha Cha Woong’s innocence.
The drama also showed a happy ending for Cheon Ye Ji’s love story since Lee Yong Ryul’s mother accepted their relationship. Meanwhile, Cha Cha Woong and Ko Seul Hae decided to get married. So they went to invite the elders who had helped Cha Cha Woong, only to discover that the house had been empty for a decade. And thus confirming that those elders were none other than the Magic Factory’s employees Chief Nam, Director Mo, and Kang A Reum!

Eventually, the story jumped five years later, showing Cha Cha Woong had become a magician and Ko Seul Hae continued her detective job. The couple even had a son named Cha Ma Ru, revealing they celebrated his birthday along with his three friends. To give a sweet twist, Cha Ma Ru’s little friends appeared as Cha Cha Woong’s ghost squad and thus left with the possibility that Cha Ma Ru might be Choi Geum! So, all in all, Showtime Begins concluded with a happy ending for everyone!
