Shinpei Ajiro grew raised with the Kofune sisters Ushio and Mio after the passing of his parents. Returning to the remote island village, he is suspicious when he sees that Ushio’s body has signs of strangulation, such as bruises around her neck. Shinpei, who is now plagued by her spirit and is helped by Mio, searches for the truth about what actually happened to Ushio in an effort to protect the locals from a mysterious dark mystery.

Ushio has erased Mio’s shadow, and she divulges details about Haine and the shadows, including the kids and grandkids’ shadows. She also claims that the shadows have seven days to murder the actual body or else they will vanish. They intend to see Seidou Hishigata at the clinic to learn all there is to know about Haine and her scheme.

While the real Mio fears her ambitions for Shinpei being discovered, Mio’s shadow flirts with the girl. They follow Tokiko (whose shadow Mio has duplicated) into the depths of the clinics, where they encounter Sou’s mother executing her Seidou. She is swiftly overwritten by Ushio.

When Sou awakens his father, he shoots her daughter at first, but because she is a shadowy replica of Mio, she emerges. Seidou cannot accompany Haine into the abyss and live as a shadow after discovering that his shadow has previously been created and died. To protect the island from the Shadows, he takes the islanders’ side. He pulls a notebook containing a list of persons, including Shinpei’s parents, who had been given to Haine as food from inside the lockers. In addition, he discloses Shide’s real name: Hishigata Shidehiko, the clinic’s founder.

The battle against the Shadow and the Humans has started in earnest. Each party now looks out for themselves. Seidou Hishigata, the father of Sou and Tokiko, was the Shadows’ sole and most crucial ally.
