The Warner Bros. Series, Kung Fu, will soon air another exciting episode. This season has brought us many plot twists and love triangles, and with all these additions, the show’s just getting more interesting. With Pei-ling being alive and Zhilan being caught up in a world between life and death, many old characters are being brought back into Nicky’s life.
Kung Fu first premiered on Television on April 7th, 2021. With the growing need for diversity in shows, The CW announced it would be making a show with a mostly Asian-American cast. Olivia Liang was chosen as the protagonist, Nicky Shen. Kung Fu houses some of the most amazing fight scenes, with even critics appreciating their cinematography.
The latest season of the show started airing on October 5th, 2022. This season seems to focus on Pei-Ling and her sister Zhilan. Nicky and her family explore the reason behind Pei-Ling being brought back to life while also dealing with their newly opened restaurant and other such local matters.
Kung Fu: The Story of Nicky Shen
Inspired by the 1970s Kung Fu starring David Carradine, this newly adapted version follows Nicky Shen as she goes on a search for the true path of her life. She is set up for a matchmaking meeting by her mom, Mei-Li, but Nicky escapes to a Monastery in Yunnan Province. She trains with her mentor Pei-Ling, who also helps her grow mentally and physically stronger.
After the Monastery is attacked and her mentor is killed, Nicky returns to San Francisco and starts to live in the city while dealing with the local gangs and acting as a vigilante. What she didn’t expect was that the same person who killed her master was now after her and that her life was never going to be the same. After season 2, we’ve got to see Nicky’s character develop into a fully-fledged warrior.
Kung Fu Season 3 Episode 4: Recap
In the Previous Episode, which was aired on October 26th, 2022, We saw the family making preparations for the grand opening night of Harmony’s Dumplings. Just as they began sticking the banners, their decorations were vandalized by someone. Mei-Li suspects the rival restaurant owner, Melody. But turns out it was someone who was actually after Nicky.
Pei-Ling seems to be recovering after she mysteriously appeared back into the living world. She and Nicky practice like before, but Pei-Ling still feels somehow lost. She apologizes to Mei-Li for taking her daughter in without informing her for three years. She gets possessed by another being and tries to harm Mei-Li but returns to normal soon after.
Doubting that Xiao’s powers are not fully gone, Nicky shifts her master to the basement of Chinatown hall. She then goes on the search for the person who vandalized their restaurant. By tracing all her past enemies, she ends up at a warehouse where she finds all of them together, but she soon realizes they aren’t the ones behind it.

Back at the restaurant, the corporate workers demand that Mei-Li and her family make everything perfect for the opening night. Mei-Li realizes the handwriting of the note Nicky receives matches the one of an employee who had applied for a job as a chef. Tracy Fong, the culprit, and a young aspiring chef, shows up and breaks everything, including the fish tank with the lobsters.
Everyone arrives just in time to catch her, and she later admits she didn’t like the way she was rejected and wanted the opening night to be a failure. The family then cleans everything up, and the opening night goes successfully.

Kung Fu Season 3 Episode 5 will be aired on November 2nd, 2022. With each episode lasting about 42-45 minutes, Kung Fu is aired on Wednesdays.
Kung Fu Season 3 Episode 5: What to Expect?
We will be seeing Nicky trying to come up with a way to help Pei-Ling lose any effect Xiao has on her, and for that, she just might have to put her romantic life on hold. Zhilan, who’s caught up in a strange place, will gear up to fight the Harvester, who seems quite strong.
