When asked about the experience of working alongside his father, John admitted that he never imagined working as closely with his dad as he is now as he seems to have adopted a new perspective on that, and it’s a lot like when one is lost in the forest and how the only way to get out is to go deeper into the forest!
The father-son duo, who has recently starred in a Netflix series, has also opened up about John Owen’s alcohol abuse throughout his late teens and early college years while the young star recalled how many times he could have died as he really liked to push the limits of his body and further numb out as much as he could.
John admitted that it makes him sad to think about it as there is a certain level of self-doubt, or uncomfortably with one’s self, and the more insecure he grew, that is when he started to medicate more aggressively.
