The latest chapter shows us that Rei is at the beach, and thinks that his fingers growing cold as his hand reaches out but never makes contact, the white crests being born one after another that he sees when he turns to look behind him. Every time the water recedes, the sand beneath his feet is pulled away with it.
Rei thinks that it takes everything he has just to keep standing facing forward and that way, he is putting that to that sort of place.
Later in the story, we see that Kyouko Kouda, Akari Kawamoto, and Kai Shimada are having dinner, where we see Akari Kawamoto saying that she was sure there was no way they were gonna eat it all, but they actually did, and also wonder who was it, that checked Udon Noodles and frozen Gyoza into the leftover broth.
Along with that, the special sauce of Hanaika San’s just tasted too good, however, that really was a bad idea; he packed too much love for the young master of the Nikaidou Family into those.
