School Ghosts, a graphic novel by Nate & Megan Trinrud, and Maria Nguyen is based on the upcoming book of the same name. It tells the story of Maddie, a dead student who ends up in the afterlife after inexplicably disappearing from Split River High School.
She interacts with a support network of other students at the school who are also caught in limbo as she learns how to manage her new life. Maddie embarks on a mission to solve crimes, but the closer she comes to learning the truth, the more lies and secrets she unearths.

A few months ago, the trailer was published. On January 9, 2023, Peyton List shared the teaser video on her Instagram account along with the teaser trailer’s release. Even though it is brief and quick, the teaser contains enough clues to offer a general notion of the series’ tone.
The plot has aspects of The Breakfast Club as well as 13 Reasons Why; however, it is set in a high school in the current day and has more paranormal undertones. The news of Maddie Near’s abrupt death, which shocked the other pupils, opens the video.
Maddie can then be seen standing there as well. After being welcomed by an “afterlife support network,” she soon discovers she was killed and wasn’t prepared to pass away so quickly.
