Berserk Of Gluttony is one of the best fantasy adventure anime of the season. The Story takes place in a Fantasy world where everyone is born with a special skill that determines their life’s direction.
Depending on the skill, you could become a merchant or craftsman, and those who prove themselves can become a Holy Knight. Our Protagonist, Fate Graphite, was born with a unique but useless skill called “Gluttony.” He does not know its use or how to activate it. Because of said skill, he is perpetually in a state of hunger.
Little did he know that Gluttony was an unholy and, effectively, a cheat skill. Using Gluttony, Fate can steal the stats and skills of others, and the condition for activation is taking a life. The only problem is that he can no longer increase his stats traditionally.
As in, he cannot gain experience, making him unable to level up. He stumbled upon this talent after killing a robber who infiltrated the palace, inadvertently absorbing his stats and skills. Later, he meets Greed, who helps him learn more about his abilities.
Greed is a sentient blade that Fate found randomly while shopping for weapons. Now that Glutonny has been awakened, he must feed its souls regularly lest he go berserk and attack friends and foes alike. Aside from being sentient, Greed possesses a treasure trove of information about most things.
Furthermore, Greed has several releases that can be unlocked in exchange for his stats. It’s similar to a Zanpakutō‘s Shikai release however, there does not seem to be an increase in its attack power.
This list will discuss 13 Anime You Should Be Watching If You Liked Berserk Of Gluttony. The anime is fairly new to the scene and is already making waves. It’s refreshing to see a protagonist with an overpowered cheat skill with an equally overpowered side effect. You can watch the anime on Crunchyroll, and if you want to read the manga, you can do that on Comic Ride and Seven Seas Entertainment.
