The supermodel sensation Gigi Hadid has arrived, and she’s ready to rock the fashion industry with her show-stopping Givenchy ensemble. The Blonde Beauty Wore a Corset Gown to the 2023 MET
Hadid donned a striking bold outfit designed by Givenchy, consisting of an all-black sheer dress with an edgy touch. The custom-made gown featured a lacy black fabric that cascaded over one shoulder and flowed into a long, impressive train on the opposite side. She added a strapless corset under the lace, pairing it with a long skirt that scrunched in the middle.
The model completed her dazzling look with sheer black tights and black pumps with gold accents at the tip. Her jewelry included a pearl and diamond choker necklace, a pearl cuff bracelet, and diamond studs. In an up-down hairdo, Gigi elevated her look with pearl embellishments under her eyes and short sheer gloves, paying tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld, who was often seen wearing fingerless gloves when outdoors.
Hadid took to Instagram to remember the Chanel designer, “I feel so lucky to have experienced this legend!!” she said about her time working with Karl. In all of her eight appearances at the MET, she never once failed to look drop-dead gorgeous. Like us, Hadid mentioned how she “cannot wait” to see how other celebrities pay homage to Karl and simultaneously follow the gala’s theme for the year.

Gigi redefined last year‘s theme of Gilded Glamour by wearing an attention-pulling Versace statement piece. The 2022 outfit included maroon latex pants and a matching corset, but that was not what stole the show. Taking her outfit to a new level, Hadid paired the latex fit with a big puffy oversized overcoat.
At the 2021 MET, the supermodel embodied the theme of Old American fashion with her black opera leather gloves, jewel-peppered pumps, and a strapless white Prada gown- the star of the event. Her usual beachy blonde was dyed an exciting red which was put in a high ponytail to top off the look.
The internet rarely ever agrees on something, but one thing everyone can agree on is that one of the most iconic and mesmerizing looks ever on the MET red carpet was Hadid’s Stained Glass Dress at the 2018 MET Gala. The model looked out of this world, aptly following the 2018 theme of Heavenly Bodies.
Although the floor-length gown did not feature many wow factors, it was the interlinking geometrical shapes of changing shades that wrote itself in the books of MET history. The Versace piece featured red, blue, and green broken “glass” shards on the chest and left side of the dress. The rest of the gown flowed with grassy green and blue hues. The shards shined with golden outlines, taking the dress to a truly heavenly level- making Hadid look like an angel from the sky.
Sharing a daughter, Khai, with former One Direction singer: Zayn Malik, Hadid spoke about motherhood. “She’s one next week, and I feel like I’ve been on mama duty. I’ve been at the farm with her every day in my sweatpants and our matching messy buns”, she told Vogue during the 2021 MET red carpet.
