Ken then retreats to his room and muses over the attack in which a masked stranger saved him. He makes an effort to determine who he is but fails. Hin breaks into the discussion to ask Payu who Mr. Tee is and why he is helping Ken.
The only information they had on Mr. Tee’s race was the message Ken had received, which was written in Chinese. Later, Ken is surprised when Mr. Lue comes to eat Thai food at his restaurant. At first, Ken attempts to refuse Mr. Lue’s request by claiming that the restaurant is a Cantonese establishment and that his father, the establishment’s owner, and chef, has no experience preparing Thai cuisine.
Ken responds that he is the chef who prepares Thai food when Mr. Lue claims the waiter told him he could order Thai food. Ken orders when Mr. Lue states he prefers a northern dish. Ken serves Mr. Lue Khao Soi Gai, and he is impressed by its flavor. Ken is ready to go when Mr. Lue stops and asks him to wipe his hands because they are covered in food stains.
They both pause for a moment. Deedee, Ken’s secretary, soon breaks up their moment of eye contactor. Later, Hin receives a call from his sister Sai as Ken arrives to bid farewell to him and Payu at the restaurant entrance. She tells him that Nok Gang was arrested by the police, shocking both Ken and Hin. Afterward, in a flashback, Ken and Din can be seen sliding off a cliff after being shot and ending up beside a river while unconscious.
Both have surely come to their wits’ end and are in excruciating pain. Din tells Ken that he loves him and must live for him. Ken is left there sobbing as Din ceases breathing as soon as he says these things.
Rewinding to the present, Ken is sobbing in his room. Mangpor, Plang, and Guy discuss why they still can’t believe Din is gone and that Ken can’t attend his funeral the following day. When everyone is listening, Sai shows up at the same moment and instructs the group to discuss Din after they get home.
Boon and Hin both arrive there at that precise moment. Hin is surprised when Boon asks them to meet after the burial because they have some business to discuss. Next, we see Payu, Hin, Mangpor, and Plang communicating more via text messages about Din’s passing. They appear to have doubts regarding Din’s passing.
The policeman who apprehended the Nok gang shows up to the funeral with Ae as they are texting. Din’s father then greets the police chief. Ken shows up just as they are ready to approach Din’s casket to say a prayer. Everyone is shocked at Ken’s entry.
Din’s father questions Ken about his well-being and where he has been hiding out. If Ken is Din’s buddy who vanished, the chief gets confirmation from Din’s father.
