This anime features the most feared Yakuza member as the perfect Househusband. The plot itself is unbelievable due to the premise. Tatsu received the title of “Immortal Dragon”. He was known as a feared Yakuza boss but suddenly he vanished. He decided to lead a peaceful life after marrying. To do so he started living in an apartment with his wife and now he is striving to be the perfect homemaker.
Due to his resolve, he mastered the skills he required to be a good househusband. These skills involve cooking delicious dishes, having a good bargaining trick to get a good deal at the supermarket, and many more. Seeing a yakuza boss do all the chores and additional work as a house husband, his former acquaintances, as well as enemies, were left shocked. His past was surely controversial. However, his new life as a househusband has only begun.
2. The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K.
This is one of the funniest anime out there, the story follows the life of Kusuo Saiki. Saiki possesses some Psychic abilities. While it is an over-glorified power, Saiki isn’t happy with it. He was gifted with various supernatural powers ranging from X-ray vision to telepathy. His powers caused him inconveniences, rather than helping him. These troubles started piling up for Saiki and his aim became to have an ordinary life where he can be ignorant.
However, being a psychic isn’t an easy task. Even though Kusuo wanted to stay away from being the center of attention, by keeping his powers a secret. He ended up gaining the attention of some weird characters. This involves Riki, who is quite an empty-headed person, and Shun Kaidou who is delusional. Unwillingly Saiki has to deal with their craziness and others around him. Thus for Saiki having a normal life became the hardest obstacle.
3. The Assassination Classroom
Assassination Classroom is one of the classics and often has some parodies involved. The plot is based on a mysterious alien-like creature. Surprisingly the students of Kunugigaoka School, specifically class 3-E are held responsible to finish the task of assassinating this creature. The creature, however, becomes their Homeroom teacher and is called Koro-sensei. He can fly at high speed. However, as it turns out this creature wasn’t just some alien he was the best teacher the students had in a long time.
To Assassinate Koro-sensei the students start to train themselves and polish their skills required to kill him. They eventually get stronger to fight against the school system and defeat Koro-sensei.
4. The Devil Is a Part-Timer
The premise of the anime itself is hilarious as it’s based on Lord Satan who ends up becoming a part-timer on Earth! Demon Lord Satan starts conquering the land of Ente Isla striking fear in the hearts of every mortal. However, in the attempt of taking over the continent, he is defeated by Emilia. He was then forced to go through a dimensional portal that lands on the Human world. Alongside his general Alsiel, Satan finds himself in modern-day Tokyo and there he takes the Oath to take his revenge on Emilia and conquer the land of Ente Isla. But for doing so he needs to find his way back.
As he couldn’t use his magic he was powerless. Satan disguises himself as Sadao Maou and starts working at MgRonald’s. It’s a fast-food restaurant and an obvious parody of McDonald’s. Soon he realizes that being the conqueror of Ente Isla isn’t enough, he needs to rule Earth. While still having to live the life of an average human being.
5. Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-Kun
The Story revolves around a cheerful girl, Chiyo Sakura. She fell in love with Nozaki who isn’t aware of her feelings. She finally decides to confess to Nozaki. But as soon as she tries to make her move she receives an autograph by Nozaki, it turns out that he is a shoujo mangaka. He’s been publishing manga under the pen name, Sakiko Yumeno. The story involves several misunderstandings that led to Chiyo being Nozaki’s assistant.
The story is hilarious as she soon befriends various quirky schoolmates. Along With the shameless assistant Mikito and Kashima Yuu who is the prince of the school. The whole story is focused on the rather funny hardships and efforts of Chiyo as she helps Nozaki with his manga, with the hopes of being noticed.
6. One Punch Man
One punch man is probably one of the most popular anime shows on Netflix and it never fails to make people laugh. People have always wished to be so powerful that they could defeat any monster or thing with ease. The plot follows the story of Saitama who possesses this extent of power. Saitama’s childhood dream was to be a hero, for which he trained for three years and ended up losing his hair. This training made Saitama so powerful that he became capable of defeating any enemy with a single punch.
However, being so powerful only meant that he doesn’t have any real rivals. This made his life boring and fruitless. He wasn’t able to enjoy the thrill of fighting evil. One day he catches the attention of Genos. Who later on suggested Saitama join the Hero Association and become a certified hero. Saitama, who was unpopular, despite his powers decided to join. This opened some new gates for Saitama.
7. Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!
Chunibyo is a problem where people start believing that they are special, so much that they can possess supernatural powers. They become invincible in their delusions. Yuta Togashi is suffering from this problem. The disease often leads to having embarrassing moments. And Yuta has plenty.
He posed as the “Dark Flame Master” in his Middle school. He looks back at that time with extreme embarrassment. So much so that he attends his high school far away from his middle school, so that no one would recognize him. Unfortunately, as soon as Rikka Takanashi enters his life, his dream of an ordinary life crumbles away.
8. Food Wars
Yes, The anime with a severe foot fetish. It’s hilarious to see the expressions of all the characters in this series. It involves Souma Yukihira, who’s been cooking along with his father for a long time now. He is a sous Chef at his Father’s Restaurant. And He has spent years gaining perfection and expertise as a cook while inventing new dishes for the customers. He dreams to surpass his father’s skills as a chef and take over the restaurant someday. But to his surprise, his father decides to close the shop to take a new job in New York.
However, Souma gets enrolled at Tootsuki Culinary Academy instead of going with his Father. Only 10% of the students in this academy manage to graduate every year. The Academy is well known for its intense cooking competition. Souma’s father challenges him to survive in this academy for the following 3 years to surpass him as a cook.
9. Great Pretender
Due to various unfortunate events, Makoto Edamura had to switch to life as a criminal. He became a Pickpocketer and a scammer. After swindling tourists he discovered that he was the one who was tricked all along. As it turns out that the police are after him now. As he made preparations to escape he ran into a familiar tourist Laurent Thierry, who was also a con man. They both ended up traveling together to Los Angeles.
To defend his post as a scammer, Makoto challenges Laurent to determine who is the best scammer. Their target, however, was the biggest mafia boss on the West Coast.
10. Toradora
Ryuuji Takasu is known to be a delinquent because of his scary face. Even though he is quite a gentle student that loves housework. On the other hand, there’s Taiga Aisaka, she is a small and cute student who isn’t really what she seems. She is always equipped with a wooden katana and has a terrifying personality.
One day due to some embarrassing events Ryuuji and Taiga cross paths. That’s when Ryuuji finds out that Taiga has a sweet side and has a crush on the vice president. The vice president happens to be Ryuuki’s best friend. However, he already has a crush on Minori, who is Taiga’s best friend. I know right? Pure drama right there.
I’m not a huge fan of Romance, but still, this one stands out due to the hilarious plot and the odd duo. The fact that they make an unlikely alliance to achieve something extremely dumb is funny.
