N.B.C.’s original autobiographical series Young Rock which follows the life of one of the most popular actors on Earth, Dwayne Johnson, debuted on television only a year and a half ago, but with the wide critical acclaim it has received, the show has already been renewed for a third run in such a short span of time.
Season 3 of Young Rock was announced back in May this year, and since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting its release. Fortunately, however, their wait is finally over, as the new season of the sitcom is all set to premiere at the end of this week.
The closing of the previous season saw Dwayne Johnson making his debut at the biggest event in the wrestling calendar of the W.W.F., Wrestlemania. However, his first appearance at “the showcase of the immortals” does not go as well as he would have liked leaving the fans anticipating a fallout in some form in the latest installation.
Young Rock Season 3 Episode 1 Preview
The premiere episode is scheduled to kick off this week, and in it, we will see Dwayne Johnson preparing himself to withdraw from the life of a politician after he lost the 2023 general elections. It was right about then when he received a call that he had not expected.
Meanwhile, in 1985, Rocky realizes that there are repercussions to deal with when anyone crosses Vince. We are then taken to 1997, where Dwayne discovers that fans would hate him even if he was a winner. The official episode title for Episode 1 from Season 3 of Young Rock is “The People Need You.”
The episode, which is due to come out the week after, would be the second of the season. In the episode, it is 1997 in Miami where Dwayne is recovering from an injury during which he makes a decision that would change his whole life.

Moreover, after he returns to the W.W.F., Johnson goes on to take a huge risk with his character as well as on the mic. Elsewhere, in 2033, President Taft looks to Dwayne to help him tackle a crisis. Episode 2 from Young Rock Season 1 is officially dubbed “Rocky Sucks.”
Young Rock Season 3 Plot
The plot of Young Rock features the extraordinary life of well-known wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson through the appalling stories of his family and childhood, experiences which shaped him into the man he is now.
The show explores his youth, the time during which he lived in the midst of prominent icons of the wrestling world as his own father started to become known in the business. Moreover, we are taken through his rebellious years as a teen attending high school in Pennsylvania, as well as the time he played football alongside high-flier players at the University of Miami.
Notwithstanding his larger-than-life experiences, as he takes a comedic look back, Dwayne firmly believes that he continues to be a grounded person and still relates to the people of America. The sitcom, however, does add a fictional touch to his life when Johnson runs for president in 2032.
Season 3 will be overseeing the exponential rise in his popularity which turned “The Rock” into a household name. Such a development is sure to be exciting for the viewers. At the same time, going back in time to the 1980s is likely to be a major agenda in the third season as well.
If that is not enough, it can also be expected that the narrative of the show will incorporate its signature time jump from Johnson’s initial years to his fictitious presidential campaign in 2032 because it is a style to which the show owes much of its success.
Young Rock Season 3 Cast
The major players of Young Rock are all returning to reprise their roles for the new season, including The Rock himself, along with the actors portraying various versions of him, namely Bradley Constant, known for Following Phil, Adrian Groulx, known for See, and last but not the least Marco Polo fame Uli Latufeku.
Moreover, Joseph Lee Anderson, known for S.W.A.T., plays Rocky Johnson, Stacey Leilua plays Ata Johnson, Ana Tuisila from Outrageous Fortune, plays Lia Maivia, Michael Torpey plays American President Brayden Taft, also part of the returning cast.
