The rumors around the mysterious bar state that one can only find and enter the bar after receiving an invitation from the host. All these circumstances add a mysterious aura to the character of Sasakura and make the reader suspect that something supernatural is at play.
Apart from Ryū, the only regular character in the show is Miwa Kurushima, who is the granddaughter of the owner of the Hotel Cardinal. She is the one who selected Ryū for the role of bartender after he was rejected by Kamishima, the manager. The readers come across various people through the course of the story, and everyone is unique in their own way.
