HoYoverse has officially revealed the “Data Bounty: Combat Simulation” event for Zenless Zone Zero, giving players another opportunity to stock up on valuable upgrade materials before the arrival of the highly anticipated Version 3.1 update.

The limited-time event begins on July 22 and rewards players with double Combat Simulation rewards, making it one of the best farming opportunities available this month.

The event comes just days before Version 3.1: The Long Goodbye launches on July 29, bringing new playable Agents, anniversary rewards, gameplay features, and story content.

Data Bounty: Combat Simulation Event Offers Double Rewards

According to HoYoverse, the Data Bounty: Combat Simulation event will run from July 22 at 04:00 (server time) until July 27 at 03:59 (server time). To participate, players must have unlocked Combat Simulation by progressing through Main Story Chapter 1: “Cat’s Lost & Found.”

During the event, Proxies can enter Combat Simulation, choose any available enemy card, and clear challenges to receive double rewards. HoYoverse also confirmed that five enemy cards will receive buffs each day, with those buffs resetting daily at 04:00 server time, encouraging players to revisit the mode throughout the event.

Event Arrives Before Major Version 3.1 Release

The bonus event serves as preparation for Version 3.1: The Long Goodbye, which launches on July 29 alongside the game’s Microsoft Store PC version. The update introduces Remielle Dan, the game’s first S-Rank Lumiflux Anomaly Agent, and Sigrid, a new S-Rank Ice Attack Agent, while also adding the permanent gameplay mode Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel.

Version 3.1 also marks Zenless Zone Zero’s second anniversary, with HoYoverse confirming generous rewards for all players. During the update, Proxies will be able to select one free limited S-Rank Agent and its exclusive W-Engine, alongside 1,600 Polychromes and 20 Signal Searches.

With double Combat Simulation rewards available for nearly a week, the Data Bounty event offers players an ideal opportunity to strengthen their characters before tackling the new story, Agents, and permanent content arriving with Version 3.1.
