Zelina Vega’s bad luck continues! The hardworking WWE Superstar has suffered an undisclosed injury and will miss out on the Queen of the Ring tournament.
This is a major blow for Vega, who was scheduled to face Shayna Baszler in the first round.
A String of Injuries
With Vega out of commission, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced that Maxxine Dupri would take her place in the tournament.
This adds another name to the growing list of injured wrestlers as the King and Queen of the Ring tournament nears its conclusion.
This isn’t the first setback for the tournament. Several other superstars have been sidelined by injuries:
Drew McIntyre (elbow)
Asuka (replaced by Dakota Kai)
Bobby Lashley (replaced by Angelo Dawkins)
With so many injuries, the path to the King and Queen of the Ring pay-per-view in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on May 25th is becoming increasingly unpredictable. Fans will have to wait and see who emerges victorious.
This injury is a frustrating setback for Zelina Vega. She’s a talented and dedicated performer who deserves a chance to shine. Hopefully, she’ll recover quickly and return to the ring stronger than ever.
