One day when Rasen beats the granddaughter of another powerful clan’s leader, his father somewhat exiles him in another mansion due to having to bow his head in front of the Clan’s leader. In the previous chapter of Youngest Scion Of The Mages, we see Rasen and his sister Ivelia share a heartfelt moment. Ivelia asks Rasen about what he has done in the past year, and although Rasen thinks his sister is asking him why his mana capacity hasn’t increased in the past year, she is just asking him how he has been. Later that night, Rasen asks Heria to prepare for the test Ivelia had planned.

The next day, Ivelia, Rasen, and Sade enter the forest and reach the heart of the Poisonous Goblin Forest. Rasen’s test is to exterminate the Poisonous Goblins, which have been disrupting the peace of the Forest lately. Rasen introduces the intriguing idea of using the flesh as bait to lure Goblins out and make them fight each other over the meat.
