Young Boss: Chapter 3 Recap
In the previous chapter of Young Boss, Siyun and Woojin are out for lunch since it is Siyun’s birthday, and Siyun wonders what kind of surprise Woojin has planned for her. Earlier, Minjoo told Siyun that she spotted Woojin buying a necklace, and Siyun was waiting for Woojin to give it to her.
Siyun finds herself lost in her fantasies when Woojin pulls out a bag and hands it to Siyun. She is disappointed when she finds a hand cream inside the bag, and Woojin explains that he gave it to her since her hands seemed dry lately, all while complaining about how expensive hand creams are.
Woojin had been asked to pick up that necklace by his boss, and he complained about how expensive it was, thanking Siyun for not being that type of woman. After work, the two head out to Woojin’s house, where Siyun is set to meet Woojin’s mother. His mother talks about her deceased parents and her upbringing, all while making Siyun feel uncomfortable.
Woojin’s mother makes some very back-handed comments, and Woojin tells Siyun to help out in the kitchen where his sisters-in-law are working. Siyun finds it odd, but she begins helping mix the dough after wearing plastic gloves.
Woojin’s mother asks Siyun to remove the gloves, and Siyun feels utterly humiliated by his overbearing mother. Her experience was very exhausting, and her day gets worse when she has to head to her workplace at Minjoo’s request. Siyun finds a cake and lights it up, and she begins to cry from all the stress, especially since Taeha does not remember her anymore.
