In the previous chapter of You and I are Polar Opposites, the semester has come to an end and it is the last day. Christmas is around and the students of Class 7 decide to hold a party on the last day. Nishi and her friend pass the class partying and Yamada spots them. He comes out and offers fried chicken but the girls refuse to get their hands greasy. They part ways and say that they will meet next year after New Year. As they are leaving, Yamada tells Nishi that he will call her later which makes Nishi blush.

Inside the class, the students ask each other about their plans for winter break and Suzuki teases Yamada about ordering pizza on Christmas Eve. Azuma asks Suzuki if she will spend Christmas at home since date spots are crowded and Suzuki agrees. The students decide to go home but Nabe stops them and guides them to some other place. The place is beautifully lit up with Christmas lights and everyone is entranced by it. They thank Nabe for the good time and leave one by one.

Taira and Azuma go in the same direction and Azuma asks if she can walk with Taira. He is surprised by Azuma’s request and makes up an excuse to avoid it, thinking that he is not worthy of her attention. But after a while, he returns back and the two of them walk home together.
