XLOV member Hyun will be absent from the group’s upcoming comeback showcase after sustaining a leg injury during practice.

The announcement was made by the group’s agency, StrangeLab, on October 27, just one day before the scheduled event for XLOV’s third mini-album, i=!.

The news comes as the group prepares to return with its latest release on October 28.

While fans were looking forward to seeing all four members participate in the comeback activities, Hyun’s injury means the showcase will proceed with the remaining three members.

According to the agency, medical professionals have advised Hyun to get sufficient rest and stability before resuming activities.

His health and recovery will therefore remain the priority as the group moves forward with its promotional schedule.

StrangeLab also explained that Hyun’s participation in upcoming events has not yet been confirmed.

Decisions about his future appearances will depend on how his recovery progresses, with further announcements expected at a later date.

StrangeLab Announces Hyun’s Absence From the ‘i=!’ Showcase

On October 27, StrangeLab released an official statement informing fans that Hyun would be unable to attend the showcase for i=! scheduled for Wednesday, October 28.

The agency confirmed that the injury occurred during practice.

Following an assessment by medical staff, sufficient rest and stability were recommended, prompting the decision to exclude Hyun from the event.

In its statement, StrangeLab said,

“We are writing to inform you that XLOV member Hyun will not be able to attend the showcase for the 3rd mini album ‘i=!’ scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, due to a leg injury sustained during practice.”

The company added that the showcase would continue with three members instead of the full group.

The agency also acknowledged the concern the sudden announcement could cause among fans who have been waiting for XLOV’s return.

It asked for their understanding and assured them that it would do its best to support Hyun throughout his recovery.

StrangeLab stated,

“We will do our utmost to support Hyun’s recovery so that he can greet fans in good health.”

The announcement did not disclose further details about the severity of the injury or specify how long Hyun might need to recover.

For now, the confirmed change applies to the comeback showcase, while his wider promotional schedule remains under review.

XLOV’s Future Promotional Activities Remain Undecided

Although Hyun will miss the October 28 showcase, the agency has not announced a complete list of activities he may be unable to attend.

His participation in music shows, fan-signing events and other scheduled appearances will be determined after evaluating his recovery.

StrangeLab explained that decisions regarding these activities would be made through a comprehensive assessment of his progress.

Detailed information about any changes to his schedule will be shared separately.

The development comes as XLOV prepares to release i=! as its third mini-album, marking the group’s return following its previous mini-album, I, God, released in May 2026. The new album is scheduled for release on October 28 at 6 p.m. KST.

XLOV consists of Wumuti, Rui, Hyun and Haru. Since debuting in January 2025, the group has drawn attention for its gender-free concept and distinctive artistic identity.

Its latest comeback has been preceded by a series of promotional teasers, concept photographs and other preview content.

With the release approaching, the remaining members are expected to carry out the showcase without Hyun while the agency monitors his condition.

Fans will have to wait for further updates to learn whether he can return for subsequent promotions.

For now, StrangeLab has emphasised the importance of allowing Hyun the time and support needed to recover.

The agency’s next announcement is expected to clarify his participation in future schedules as more information becomes available.
