In a rematch, Bianca Belair will face Bayley to defend her Raw Women’s Championship. Judgment Day and The OC are anticipated to continue their rivalry. It’s expected that Seth Rollins will retaliate against Mustafa Ali’s attack. The Crown Jewel 2022 is only a few weeks away.
The red brand has recently produced some of its best content in years, making it an exciting time to be a fan. Since the shift in management, this has only increased, and there are many reasons to be happy. It’s unbelievable that RAW has gone more than six months without a world champion, yet the company has undoubtedly continued to be the better brand overall in 2022.
Here is WWE Raw 24 October Preview:
Bianca Belair vs. Bayley
IYO SKY and Dakota Kai defeated Candice LeRae and Bianca Belair last week on RAW, with the latter team losing by a pinfall. It’s been fascinating to watch Damage CTRL’s recent supremacy, with Extreme Rules being one of the few times when they failed.
Bianca Belair and Bayley will compete on RAW this week in a non-title contest as a result of last week’s result. In the WWE, it has been repeatedly noted that when a champion competes against a challenger in a non-title match, they almost always lose.
When Belair defeated Bayley at WWE Extreme Rules PPV, it was in a ladder match, which she won by climbing up the ladder and grabbing the belt down. At Clash at the Castle, though, Bayley had Bianca pinned. Will Bianca succeed in pinning Bayley so that their rivalry may be put to an end once and for all? Or will Bayley regain control of the RAW Women’s Championship?
Nearly two months ago, at Clash at the Castle PPV, Bayley became the very first person in a while to defeat Belair, which resulted in The EST being pinned for the last time. Expect a similar result, with The Role Model’s victory resulting in a title rematch at Crown Jewel 2022.
These two have already clashed countless times, so we know what to expect. The fact that this is a non-title fight and that it is being shown on television raises some questions. Could there possibly be an angle at play here? Or will a certain ex-champion be making her homecoming at this place?
Seth Rollins And Mustafa Ali
Seth Rollins, the US champion, has finally defeated Matt Riddle, but a new opponent has entered the fray. Seth Rollins appeared on RAW the previous week to acknowledge winning the United States Championship. Mustafa Ali interrupted him, and The Visionary dismissed his challenge for the championship. The show ended after Rollins and Mustafa Ali got into a verbal altercation, and Ali chased Rollins out.
When the feud was originally teased, Ali said he was Rollins’ “next frickin problem.” After Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins won the RAW title match to retain the US Title, Ali made a second appearance and stood tall, ejecting the title.
He was very clear about his ambitions. Thus a quick fight between the two before Crown Jewel seems possible. After asking for his leave from the company a few months prior, Ali’s situation may have improved. The former leader of RETRIBUTION might receive a title push in a rivalry that ends in Saudi Arabia.
Ali continued to attack Rollins, forcing him to retreat into the crown. How will Rollins respond to Mustafa’s assault now that he has a week to consider his options? What role will Elias play in this? We’ll have to wait and see if the US title match between these two will be made official for the pay-per-view.
JBL and Baron Corbin
On RAW last week, JBL came out and revealed that his new client, Baron Corbin, will be the red brand’s newest star. He also said that Rey Mysterio moving to SmackDown was exchanged for Corbin moving to RAW.
Happy Corbin, the former US Champion’s gimmick, appears to have been dropped. From now on, Jackpot City’s mayor will be managed by JBL. Additionally, the Hall of Famer referred to his new client as a “potential wrestling God.” Even better, Corbin defeated Dolph Ziggler throughout the process, and the newly established team is expected to become a regular feature of the red brand. What will they show us this week?
The OC And Judgment Day
Even though they haven’t won every match, The Judgment Day has been extremely dominant in recent months. Dominik Mysterio spoke to AJ Styles, in particular, and The OC last week about a big match. He and Styles fought in a match on the red brand after Styles issued a challenge.
Dominik Mysterio stunned the world by defeating the former WWE Champion to earn possibly the biggest victory of his career, even though the outcome seemed predictable. He had assistance from other Judgment Day members, though. Additionally, it seems that the rivalry between The OC and the toxic stable may be set up for Crown Jewel. Who will engage in a fight this week in preparation for a possible six-man tag team match in Saudi Arabia?
Brock Lesnar And Bobby Lashley
On WWE Raw in Oklahoma City two weeks ago, Brock Lesnar made a spectacular return and dispatched Bobby Lashley with several F5s, a Kimura Lock, and a German Suplex. Last week, Lashley began the show by challenging Lesnar to a face-to-face fight, which resulted in a huge brawl that spread over the ringside. Soon later, it was announced that the two would square off at Crown Jewel.
While Lesnar initially crushed Lashley, The All-Mighty made a comeback. The Beast was effectively speared through the ring barricade by Lashley before being hit with a Spinebuster and sent flying through the announce table. The fight had to be broken up by calling in WWE referees, experts, and even wrestlers.
The All-Mighty will undoubtedly be eager to build on the momentum now that he has managed to talk with the former WWE Champion. Since Lesnar (as far as we know) isn’t expected to appear at tonight’s event, Lashley will be left to deal with the aftermath of the fight. We’ll find out what the “All Mighty” has in store for the audience at tonight’s show.
More On WWE Raw
The Miz tried to use an injury as an excuse to get out of his match against that weirdo Dexter Lumis. The A-Lister still managed to escape by attacking Dexter before the match, despite Johnny Gargano’s help in exposing Miz as a dishonest coward. As it turns out, Miz is truly struggling with a real injury. The wrestler with the enormous balls now has a burst sack. Will the official rematch between Miz and Lumis take place at a different time?
Austin Theory is beginning to understand that he will never be able to dethrone Roman Reigns for the promotion’s top championship, even if he has the Money in the Bank contract. He seems to be considering other championships he could win with the contract, like Bron Breakker’s NXT title. Braun Strowman vs. Omo’s match is scheduled for Crown Jewel. What other words will MVP have for Strowman as he begins his mind games?
Roman Reigns, the WWE Universal Champion, isn’t scheduled to appear on Monday night’s episode of Raw. If Raw’s lengthy three-hour runtime means we’ll get some SmackDown recaps tonight, you’ll have to watch SmackDown to keep up with the latest happenings in his feud with Logan Paul. The WWE tag team title holders Usos don’t have much of challengers on Raw.
After The Bloodline shattered Sheamus’ arm a few days ago, perhaps SmackDown’s Brawling Brutes may have to pay Jimmy and Jey a visit if they appear tonight. Although the 24/7 championship is still active, you wouldn’t know this from watching Raw or SmackDown. Dana Brooke is the current title holder, and it appears that Shelton Benjamin is tired of being one of the jobbers after it.
