Wu Shan Wu Xing Season 1: The Story So Far

Wu Shan Wu Xing is a Chinese anime produced by Samsara Studio and Nice Boat Animation, which was released in August 2020. This action, fantasy, and martial arts anime is set in Ancient China, revolving around mythical tales and the story of a young man with extraordinary powers.

In ancient times, the land was all but covered by monsters who wreaked havoc and caused destruction. Humans were helpless against these powerful creatures who began dominating them, but they were soon granted a reprieve and a way to fight back.

One day, a mysterious Taoist appeared who granted the mystical powers of Yin, Yang, and the Five Elements to five different families, namely Wood, Fire, Metal, Earth, and Water. This way, the humans could resist the monsters and save themselves from being completely exterminated.

The humans, with their newfound powers, drove the monsters away to a place called the Mist Mountains and set up a powerful barrier to keep them inside. The Mist Mountains were also the place where Divine Beasts resided, and they had enormous spiritual powers, which also got sealed in the giant barrier that was put up by the humans.

These Holy Beasts also attracted a lot of monsters who wanted to increase their demonic powers and break through the barrier that contained them. The main protagonist of our series, also known as Wen Ren Yi Xuan, is a fire envoy who ends up secretly opening the barrier to save his mother.

The little Demonic Child snuck out of the realm through the opening that Wen Ren Yi Xuan had created, and it created an uproar among the monster.
