TVING’s webtoon-inspired series, Work Later, Drink Now will return with the next few episodes of the season. Revolving around the lives of three best friends, Ahn So-hee, Han Ji-Yeon, and, Kang Ji-goo, the show takes us on the journey of their everyday lives as they deal with various problems.
The show is an adaptation of a webtoon by Mikkang and was first seen on television on October 22nd, 2021. It ended up receiving much more appreciation than the producers had expected, and the first season was re-aired earlier this year as well.
Talks of a second season being in production were confirmed and it finally premiered on December 9th, 2022. This season of Work Later, Drink Now is expected to complete its airing sometime in January 2023.
The story of the second season began with the way Han Ji-Yeon was dealing with her terminal illness. She ends up running away to a faraway place and her friends soon follow. With Ahn So-hee gone, Director Kang Book-goo has to search far and wide so that he could get So-hee back to work on a big project.
Work Later, Drink Now: Cast Of Season 2
Most of the characters of the first season will be returning for the second installment, but there’ll be some new faces as well. These include Yoo In-young, who plays the role of Kim Seong-Jeong, Son Ho-jun, Jo Yu-ri, Jo Jung-chi, and Lee Pil-mo.
The three BFFs will be on the screen once again. The actor behind the character Ahn So-hee is Lee Sun-bin. She used to be a member of a KPOP group called JQT. Her acting career began after she starred in a series that was aired in 2014. Since then she has been a part of numerous well-known shows like Missing 9, and Squad 38 to name a few.
Han Ji-yeon’s role is portrayed by Han Sun-hwa. Although she first wanted to be a singer, she eventually stumbled upon the world of television in 2005 when she starred in the show Superstar Survival. Sun-hwa now has a handful of singles as well as roles in television series such as Why Her (2022) and Save Me (2019).
The YouTuber, Kang Book-goo is played by the actress Jung Eun-ji. Being a DJ, singer, and actress, Jung Eun has had a wide career and her previous works include Untouchable, Cheer Up! and Crime Scene 3.
Work Later, Drink Now Season 2 Episode 6: Recap
In the episode that was aired on December 23rd, 2022, we see Anh So-hee heading back to work after a long break. She has a meeting with her writers where they decide to interview a new internet personality named Pureumae. Anh So-hee and the director show up at the venue and Pureumae invites them over for lunch.
While having lunch, it is revealed that Pureumae is one of Ahn So-hee’s ex-boyfriends and things soon go out of control. She fails to get the interview done and her co-writers start to think she has changed after the break.
Meanwhile, Jiyeon shows up at her yoga class, and everyone starts the meditation. While they are in the middle of the process, a snake comes closer to them, and only Jiyeon manages to maintain her composure and kill the snake.
She informs that since she has been living in the mountains, she had gotten used to being in the presence of all sorts of creatures. Ahn So-hee takes everyone out for dinner, and things soon get emotional. Her coworkers let her know about their true feelings, and that they were considering changing jobs after she had left.
So-hee realizes the work everyone has always done for her, and she starts appreciating their efforts more. At the end of the day, all three best friends find happiness through things they’ve been taking for granted.

The next episodes of the show will be premiering on December 30th, 2022. New episodes of Work Later, Drink Now will be released on Fridays with each episode lasting around 36-40 minutes.
