Disney had been winning the streaming rights to Bleach TYBW for a month now, but this is the first official announcement from Viz Media about the agreement made back then. There will be four courses in the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War arc. Usually, 12 to 13 anime episodes are broadcast during a course, which is about three months.
Bleach was one of the ‘Big 3’ anime exports in the early 2000s alongside One Piece and Naruto, and Bleach was popular and successful at the time. As a result of the announcement and eventual removal of the episode, some fans were angry that they had to subscribe to another streaming platform just to watch one anime.
Crunchyroll has become one of the most popular Western anime streaming platforms over the past few years, and fans have grown accustomed to it over the years. Following the purchase of the anime’s rights by another streaming service, Crunchyroll withdrew episodes of Bleach.
