Why Her? Plot Summary
In the last three episodes, we have gotten more than just a glimpse of the life of lawyer Oh Soo-Jae. Her character is a cold one, but she’s very good at what she does. She is the youngest lawyer at the TK Firm. Her tenacity and being the most popular lawyer at TK Firm enrages her fellow employees. A part of this rage and envy comes from the fact that she is the only one with a high school diploma and no further educational qualifications.
The chairman of the firm Tae-kook is a very shrewd man who does the dirty laundry of corrupt politicians. She has worked very hard to eventually become the CEO of the firm too, but an unfortunate incident forces Soo-Jae to temporarily take up a job as a professor at a law school. We all know there is some big-time power play behind her demotion, and Soo-Jae knows that too. In her class, she meets Gong Chan and Choi Yoon Sang. Gong-chan has his share of a traumatic past too that is somehow connected to Soo-Jae too. Gong-chan was once wrongfully acquitted of a crime, and Soo-Jae was the lawyer assigned to him who believed in him.
Further in Episode 2, we get to see more of Soo-Jae as a professor and how much Gong Chan and Choi Yoon-sang admire her. Especially Gong Chan, who seems to have fallen for her at first sight. Soo-Jae seems determined to take down all those who tried to do the same to her. Meanwhile, one of the professors is facing sexual assault charges. Soo-Jae doesn’t help the female victim initially but has a change of heart. Seeing the transformation from a woman who cared for no one but her job was an interesting one.
