CNN announced the news of changing its lineup through the Midterm Elections 2022 on 22 September. It started making its effect on from 1️0 October and will continue till 11 November.
If you are a regular CNN viewer, you must be well aware of Jake Tapper. He is popularly known for anchoring The Lead and The State of the Union. He has been set to host CNN Tonight at 9:00 p.m. On the other hand, Alisyn Camerota and Laura Coates will serve their anchor ship from 10:00 p.m to 12:00 a.m ET.
The chief executive officer of the news network (CNN), Chris Licht, said that this new lineup would showcase Jake Tapper’s no-nonsense approach to news reporting and smart analysis of the issues at high stake midterm elections. He added saying the strong and impactful voices of Alisyn and Laura would help in both advancement and expansion of the coverage. It would eventually create something complimentary and compelling in primetime, as shared by him. This was reported to be the major reason behind CNN changing its lineup.
To clarify the new schedule, from 4:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m, The Lead takes place and is anchored either by John Berman or Brianna Keilar. Right then, for the next two hours, The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer happens. Later, from 7:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m, Erin Burnett’s OutFront airs. For the next one hour, that is until 9:00 p.m, Anderson Cooper takes place. The remaining part is already mentioned before, where Ja,ke Tapper, Alisyn Camerota, and Laura Coates play their roles in their respective shows.
