Introduction To Falka
The character, Falka is taken from Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series, ‘The Witcher.’ Accordingly, Falka is a quarter-elf woman, the princess of Redania, and Vridank’s first child. Her mother, Beatrix, was sent back to Kovir after getting separated from Vridank.
Later, Vridank married Cerro, who gave birth to his two children. Being the king’s daughter, Falka demanded to rule Rediana. However, she could not inherit the throne as she was a girl. Thus, she murdered her father, stepmother, and their children.
The people from the patriarchal system took her act of vengeance as a rebel. Thus, they came together to rebel against her. The situation worsened, and the Northern Kingdoms fell prey to the uncontrollable fire started by Falka.
The historical city of Mirthe and several innocent people, who had nothing to do with Falka’s ego, burned to death. Thus, people also called her ‘Bloody Falka.’ Finally, the rebels caught Falka, tied her to a stake, and burned her alive. However, she believed one of her children would complete her revenge story.
Ciri And Falka
We heard the characters saying that history will repeat itself from the first episode. Falka tells Ciri to embrace fire magic in her hallucination and burn her enemies down. Thus, Ciri ignores what Yennefer and Gerald taught her and chooses the dark path.
According to the novel, The Witcher, the elder child from the bloodline will save the world, while another child from the same will destroy it. So, Lara’s descendant will be the savior, while Falka’s the destroyer.
Ciri is Falka’s descendant, according to the novel. Pavetta was Ciri’s mother. Meanwhile, Pavetta’s great-great-grandmother, Fiona, was Falka’s daughter. However, Falka’ predicted the birth of a son, not a daughter.
Codringher believed that Ciri would give birth to the destroyer of the world. So, Ciri’s father might have wished to marry his daughter, give birth to the destroyer of the world, and rebuild the world for the same reason.
Why Did Ciri Call Herself Falka In Witcher Season 3?
A strong reason for Ciri calling herself Falka is unknown, which tempts us to watch the fourth season. However, Ciri might have called herself Falka because she knew her struggles were similar to that of Falka.

Ciri realized how powerful she was after killing yet another man with her sword and saving a unicorn in the desert with her powers. It looks like Ciri steps into Falka’s shoes. Thus, Ciri might have called herself Falka.
