Here’s the latest on why are J Balvin and Christian Nodal fighting. Remember back in the 1990s when rival rap and hip-hop artists dissed each other on tracks. Well. That’s old school for these kids who now take their feuds to the dangerous terrain of…IG stories. Yes. These two are fighting each other over looks. Not over who’s meaner or who got a girl.
These two are actually fighting because they look alike. It appears that fans compared photographs of them on social media, pointing out just how much these two reggaeton performers look alike, and it started quite a stir. When the reggaetonero posted a pic of himself comparing himself to the Goodbye Love singer, he added a caption saying, “find the differences”. That was it, the match over the gasoline was lit, and it became a mess.
Why Are J Balvin and Christian Nodal Fighting?
After the picture, Christian Nodal went berserk and wrote a few things on social media, pointing out just how dissimilar they are from one another. In Nodal’s opinion, he’s the one with the talent, and he can sing, and his pictures are chosen by him, and J Balvin’s are picked up by the press.
But J Balvin took it slyly, saying that it was just for fun. And to do so, he employed another phrase from another rapper he had a beef with, Calle 13’s Residente, aka René Perez Joglar, the Puerto Rican with whom the Colombian had other social media stir a few months ago. To stir things, even more, the Colombian went on to upload a video with a Belinda filter claiming he woke up looking cute, a tongue-in-cheek portmanteau Spanish to say Belinda in reference to Nodal’s ex-girlfriend.

Nodal Talks Back
After the Belinda IG jab, Nodal was filled with rage, and a series of rage-posting began on social media, asking how was it that a dude like J Balvin got to that stature, that how is it that he posts about good vibes but ends up dissing him like that. And called upon J Balvin to use social media in an appropriate manner. Moreover, Nodal recorded a diss track against J Balvin that dropped on June 1, 2022. And called upon Balvin to talk back if he’s got it in him.
In Nodal’s opinion, J Balvin is a benchmark for everything that’s wrong in the current pop culture. According to the Mexican singer, he’s focused on his work, and then out of nowhere, the Colombian singer comes out to mess with him. So now, J Balvin must stand up to face the music. What ensues is a classic rap battle between this two.
