The wait is finally over as the newest season of The Apprentice has already returned with its 2023. As Lord Sugar returns on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, several contestants have already been sent home as their entrepreneurial journey coming to an end. Joe Phillips: Joe Phillips was fired from the newest season of The Apprentice as his team lost when they were asked to design bonding days for two international companies based in the UAE. In the boardroom, Lord Sugar pointed out that the task did not go as planned with the food being burnt, and the service being poor, and they were compressed to fire Joe Phillips. Joe later stated that while he could not continue he surely learned so much from this process and he cannot wait to take that knowledge and apply it to his own business and hopefully make a success of it.
Shazia Hussain: Shazia Hussain was also one of the contestants who was also eventually fired in the fifth week. Lord Sugar pointed out that there were too many problems and mistakes and it was not possible to look past that. Hussain later explained that her having ADHD implied that she could work quicker than others, while further adding that she hopes she inspired other neurodiverse candidates on the show. .
Shazia states that it is important to see a varied representation of women, that includes women with neurodiversity in business and she hopes she has encouraged more people like her not to be ashamed of their difference.
Gregory Ebbs: Gregory Ebbs was also fired after it was pointed out that he did not put in the much-needed effort in the cartoon challenge compared to the rest of the team. Lord Sugar emphasized the importance to adapt in business and with his inability of it, he had to fire Ebbs. Gregory later admitted that he understands why Lord Sugar fired him because he felt he was unable to adapt while adding that he is determined to prove Lord Sugar wrong and show him why he should have been his next business partner.

Kevin D’Arcy: The accountant Kevin became the second candidate to be fired when he did not perform in the bao buns task. Kevin later took blame as he priced his team’s market stall bao buns too low, but also admitted that he has no hard feelings about his time on the show.
After being fired, Kevin states how he would remember how much he laughed and got on with the other candidates and also met some amazing people. He further added how it was interesting to meet some of the younger candidates and understand what they are into and all about their interests.
Emma Browne: The senior account executive was also fired as she became the first person to be fired. However, Emma admitted that she won’t become a sore loser and will put herself forward and someone had to go and is not painful about it. She further added how she has spent so much time doing a business plan that she probably would not have spent as much time doing it if it was not for The Apprentice. Browne who hails from County Kildare also talked about Lord Sugar saying that if he were present during the task, it might have been possible that his decision differed and Emma believes that his decision was taken from other people’s judgments.
