The first person that Hayley dated after joining Paramore was the co-founder Josh Farro. They dated for four years, 2004-07. Hayley had a crush on Josh since she was 13, and she was so jealous of her girlfriend that she wrote the song “Misery Business.” There are no other statements or records of the time they dated since it was before everyone had internet.
After they broke up, Hayley was saddened and said to the Vulture, “That was so painful.” It also broke their friendship and damaged the relationship of the group. From dating to barely feeling anything, their relationship degraded, and they moved on. She also clarified that leaving Paramore was Josh’s decision and had nothing to do with her.
Hayley Williams And Chad Gilbert
Soon after Hayley and Josh broke up, she started dating Chad Gilbert, the lead guitarist of New Found Glory. The pair dated for a good seven years before finally getting engaged on Christmas day in 2014. The couple got married in February 2016. But after just sixteen months, they filed for divorce in July 2017. A relationship that started a decade ago ended before 2017 was over.
Hayley and Chad’s relationship started as an affair since Chad was still married to Sherri DuPree. He got a divorce before the end of 2007. Hayley revealed that the marriage was unhealthy and compared it to her parents’ married life. Hayley received therapy to overcome the thought that her and Chad’s divorce was her fault. She had big plans, family, and all, but she realized that dating and marriage are very different ideas.
Hayley Williams And Taylor York
In September 2022, Hayley confirmed that she is dating the Paramore guitarist Taylor York. Taylor and Hayley go way back; they first met in 2009 when he joined Paramore as a guitarist and has stayed with the band. It is unclear when they started dating but according to Page Six, it might have been sometime in 2018, when the pair shared a rainy day story on their Instagram accounts, which stated, “I love you” and “same.”
Though the couple decided to reveal their relationship to fans, they have declined to reveal any further information on the topic. So confirming anything won’t be possible at the time, but we will await new signs to find out what’s more.
The 34-year-old has seen a lot throughout her life. She began her career around 15 and faced a lot of disrespect, realizing that the world isn’t what she thought.
