Million Dollar Island is a reality TV show where one hundred strangers are left to survive on a deserted island while they compete to be the last contestant standing for which they win a total of one million euros as prize money. The players compete against one another for wristbands that are worth ten thousand euros each. The first episode of the show that describes itself as a game show where “rules don’t exist” aired on 3rd of March in the year 2022 in Netherlands. Ever since the show was first aired on TV, there has been a plethora of contestants on it.
Hosted by Ant Middleton, one might compare Million Dollar Island to another survival reality TV show called “Survivor“. However, there is a difference. There are more contestants, a larger prize money, more risk and therefore, more plot twists. In order to win the prize money, the participants are allowed to lie, cheat, form alliances, scheme, and plot against one another. Karla has a diverse range of projects in her amazing professional background, including zookeeping, crocodile keeping, deckhand, wildlife presenter, ranger, cameleer, and several more.

Karla has avoided commitments due to her nomadic lifestyle that places an emphasis on her independence, placing her career and personal freedom above everything else. This is due to the fact that she amassed a substantial burden upon herself in the form of financial debt while paying for her helicopter pilot training, supporting a fascinating documentary project, and establishing a sense of financial stability. She confesses that, despite her deep-rooted passion for her work, it isn’t the most lucrative or successful. Thanks to Million Dollar Island, she might be able to see a shift in her situation.
