Recently, the first season of Celebrity Jeopardy reached its conclusion, and it was a hell lot intensive and we are definitely here for it. After all, the Saturday Night Live narrative of the game show’s popular people-only edition has endured and grown making it one of the show’s widely viewed regular routines.
However, the actual hour-long show distinguished itself as a deserving addition to the loved and respected Jeopardy! continuity, and it concluded its 13-episode season on Thursday, February 2nd . Even better, it was undoubtedly one of the most consistently enjoyable TV shows we got to watch this year.

So let’s get to know the show in a bit brief.
This special primetime edition of the game show was hosted by fellow celebrity nerd Mayim Bialik and had a different structure from a typical half-hour Jeopardy! match.
They have three celebrities competing in each round on every episode of the show. As the competitors battled it out to get to the final and win the million dollar main prize for the charity of their choice. Throughout the season six preliminary rounds turned into three semifinals, and finally leading to the finale.
Actor Ike Barinholtz was crowned the show’s first champion after defeating opponents Patton Oswalt & Wil Wheaton in the season finale .
Barinholtz won the $1 million grand prize, with all his winning money going to Pacific Clinic’s Hollygrove Program.
We have to say that this was one of the most fascinating series finales ever, where every turn kept us in the edge of our seat. Oswalt initially looked like he would win the game thanks to a few Daily Doubles, but despite placing some savvy bets, Ike ended up winning the game in the majority of the hands. Ike had the advantage going into the final round, and he was successful in coming up with the right response!
He took first place in the game with a total score of $72,0001, earning him the $1 million prize.
Who is Ike Barinholtz on Celebrity Jeopardy?
American actor/ comedian, and writer Ike Barinholtz was born on February 18, 1977. He is best known for his roles on The Mindy Project as Nurse Tookers, and as a cast member of MADtv. Barinholtz also portrayed jail guard Griggs in the DC Comics movie Suicide Squad, which was released in 2016.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois in the Rogers Park neighbourhood. He was born to Peggy and lawyer Alan Barinholtz.,
He first wanted to work in politics. After switching his path, he relocated to Los Angeles to start an acting career full-time after finishing high school.
According to Barinholtz, his mom and dad were really liberal parents with amazing senses of humour and he grew up in a “very amusing home, and his folks always supported him throughout his journey.
He decided to go back to school and attended at Boston University after having to work as a busboy and telemarketer.
Following his withdrawal, he relocated to Chicago and began working for the Chicago Transit Authority while seeking a career in comedy. In the Chicago area, he started taking improv classes at The Second City Improv and other improv schools. In 2002, he started working on the sketch comedy sketch show “MADTv.” Later, he continued to make appearances in movies and television shows.

He co-starred in The Mindy Project with his brother Jon Barinholtz, who presently plays the recurring character of Marcus on the television programme Superstore.
The 45 year old actor-director is married to Erica Hanson since 2009. The couple has three beautiful kids together. Barinholtz’s has made a fortune out of show business and his current net worth is estimated to be of around a whopping $1.5 million dollars.
